Head-to-head
Tottenham have won four of eight Premier League games between the two sides, with Stoke winning three.
The biggest-ever win for either side at White Hart Lane came when Spurs beat Stoke 6-1 (in Division One) in October 1950.
The two clubs first met in the first round of the FA Cup in 1896, Stoke claiming a 5-0 victory at home.

It was always going to be a tough fixture. Not many teams would have beaten Stoke in the form they're in. And it's another clean sheet.
We need a quality striker in Jan. One that you feel has the ability to change a game through a bit of skill.

Then we're screwed basically
You see the other teams competing for top 4 being linked to strikers:
Liverpool - Sturridge, Huntelaar
Arsenal - Huntelaar, Villa, Llorente
Newcastle are linked to Remy
If we leave it as it is and those teams strengthen there is every chance they'll overtake us.
We need a more complete striker. Defoe and Ade have too many faults.

everyone winning around us apart from us anyway we didn't lose and we have 2 games over the xmas period that are winnable still and are both away games where the other teams will try to attack us which is when we seem to play better. I think we can get 6 points against both sunderland and villa

With that 1 assist it's safe to say Downing is in the form of his life.
