Becchio

I am a Becchio Believer!

I understand that he's not the prettiest of players BUT he works his ar$e off all game, he is prepared to the dirty work and he gets his rewards!

I'm fed up of people complaining that he only scores tap ins and against lower league teams... You can only score against the teams you play against and a goal is a goal... doesn't matter if its from 5 yards or 50 yards!

Long may his form continue!

Great goal or a carthorse

I'd go for "great goal" given the choice here

bit of psychology from Warnock ?? get Somma on the bench asap...spark a reaction from Becchio, if so i reckon it was a masterstroke

Every Warnock team needs a Becchio, consistent goalscorer, good defensively and challenges for everything (something i remember Somma didn't do, although he looked good from the bench today given his layoff).

Also noticed Diouf going very deep at times today to receive the ball from the back 4 and bring it forward, so he also offers a lot to the team, and with McCormack as his back-up it's looking very positive going forward.

Overall it's just great to see a subs bench made up of players that you could make a case for starting (well maybe excluding Varney ), something you couldn't do earlier in the season.

A striker who scores goals and not just goals but match winning goals.

Invaluable to any team.

Becchio is ok if you understand his limitations as a
player...he reminds me of Jimmy Greaves many
years ago...stick Becchio in the penalty area to pick
up passes and score...he's not quite in Greaves'
class as a player, but he's a better header than him,
but dont expect too much from him outside the box,
he's not great at holding up the ball...his performance
against Histon a few seasons back still gives me
nightmares..

Well they say pictures never lie, still waiting for the ManU one!.

You only have to look at yesterdays video's, films, pictures, whatever there called to see what he can do!..

He's a player that works for everyone, send the ball to him he'll get on the end of it, if others find their way onto them then he'll have done what he's meant to be doing, but the same as with Beckford, he was Beckfords perfect partner and that being the case he scored more goals for us then anyone else he's played for, that must say something!..

He'll be our top scorer this season, that's if Bates doesn't manage to get him sold without the newbies knowing anything about it, and how many said he's not a 20+ season man, would anyone bet he is?..

I'd much rather he played for us then against!.

Yes, it says he was playing in the 3rd tier rather than the Premier League or Championship

Therefore, him jumping the Championship showed him as not as good as he thought!.
