Selling Surridge is yet another sign

of the deficiencies at our club. A young talent that has made no progress at Chelsea because of poor coaching and the idiotic obsession to justify the worst transfer in the club's history. Pathetic!

If a player comes in and makes a difference I'm keen to see if he can do the same on a regular basis before seeing them discarded Biggish but as a club we don't seem to be prepared to give a developing player a chance to see what he can do.

I find it annoying that we will persevere with an underperforming established player in favour of finding out if anyone else has something that can add to the team.

Agreed Brummie but sadly it's a case of money talks.

Future generations will laugh very hard at us when we tell them that we sold an up and coming Sturridge for peanuts only to keep an underperforming and hopeless Torres at the club.

It was the same with McEachran Superb. He was easily out performing his peers when called upon but then disregarded in favour of players who were constantly not coming up with the goods.

Such a shame that his career has regressed so much since then!

Brummie while I agree that Carlo had opportunities to play Josh and didn't I'm not convinced he was ever Chelsea standard.

He didn't get picked for Swansea either when he was there which is a bit of a red flag.

I used to watch the reserves at Griffin Park and in all honesty Josh never really stood out. Matic and Sturridge both stood out a mile as did Borini in truth.

I used to watch him as a 16/17 year old and thought he stood out head and shoulders above everyone else Superb!

Brummie time will tell though. It's not over for Josh by any means but I just think that the best he can hope for is to be a decent PL player and there's no shame in that.

Mceachran isnt a Chelsea standard player, might have been at youth level but many youths are playing to their maximum to make an impression. Other youth players around them may be lazier but have more in them.

Happens to all club, watch out for so and so he's class in the youths.

Compare Mceachran to Aki, and note they Aki isn't guaranteed to make it at Chelsea.

It's a shame though Redinthehead because if you judge him by ability alone he's the most gifted midfielder I've seen come through the Chelsea youth team since Alan Hudson - and I include Ray Wilkins in that!

Is he on loan anywhere?

Was out at Wigan last season but not heard about any plans for him next season.

I still love this run he went on for Boro v Sheff Wednesday!
