He's not a thug. Now I've not seen the incident, but I can tell you now, he's a thoroughly decent person.
I used to watch Stockport County play when Williams was the captain, and me and my mate sat 5-6 seats along from someone who we believed to be his dad. Anyway, when Williams was out for a couple of games he sat and watched the match (part of it anyway) up there with his dad, and I had a quick chat with him and he came across as a very nice, normal person.
I'm not condoning what he's done, but what I am arguing is that it was probably heat of the moment, he isn't a particularly aggressive player. Our fans need to steer clear from attacking Williams as a perennial thug, and focus on this one incident rather than try and tar him with the Barton Brush My two cents anyway
Ashley Williams

He still started the havok by reacting like he did so yes he deserved to be carded, he could of just let the ref deal with the situation but he wanted to do his rape move on Williams instead.

Did you write rape???? Err I think you should think before writing something like that as you could end up in very hot water.....you really are a first class idiot!

When did Keane end his career?? The other knee finished him off but don't let facts get in the way of your hatred of united?? It comical that there is a spurs fand above so bitter towards an ex gooner that he can't see that the bloke whelleyed the ball full whack at the back of his head, on the floor from 3 yards. Let's me ask you this?? If Rooney had done that to a swansea player, what would your reaction be?? In fact don't bother as I already know!

Idiot alert!
Idiot alert!
Would everybody steer clear for their own safety, we have an idiot and he is as much a potential danger to himself as he is others!
How anyone can be criticising RVP over Ashley Williams in the incident that happened yesterday is beyond me, about the only explanation I have is that RVP was wearing a Man Utd shirt so the opposition fans in this topic would have had the same view regardless of what happened...
What I do now is that pretty much anyone would have reacted like RVP did if we had some thug booting the ball at our face from a few yards away, most would probably actually have a violent reaction rather than just grabbing someone's shirt and getting angry, which is only a red card in la la land...
