Xmas Fifa Tournament Review + Awards

So the first ever ‘spin-off’ tournament celebrated the event of Christmas and what a tournament it was! Despite a shocking start it soon picked up the pace and had some very interesting stories were played out. Here is the review; I hope you enjoy it and Merry Christmas to all the tournament participants!

So we start off in a revised Group B, due to certain Neanderthals pulling out without warning this group would now consist of SKA, Saint, RVPM, Robin and Kanga, a very hard one to predict. SKA was the one to make his mark first recording tight victories galore against RVPM and Robin, whilst drawing with Saint and then losing to Kanga, albeit SKA had already progressed by this stage, he and his Molde were in the knock-outs! Another group dominator was Saint, he remained unbeaten throughout the group despite only scoring two goals, he didn’t concede a single goal in the group stage. The group was not over though with people pulling-out this led to the two best third place finishers with a chance of progression and RVPM took this opportunity well. He might’ve lost against both of the top 2, but he also beat the bottom 2 Kanga and Robin. This resulted in him being the strongest third place finisher and ensured a knock-out place. Kanga’s only high note came in a 1 – 0 victory over SKA, it was too little, too late for him and Robin never really got going picking up just the two points.

Into Group C and this group was largely unaffected by the pull-outs just a controversial entry by Kent who had his own internal problems. With his addition he and RoryT were clear favourites and they lived up to this with favourite RoryT battering everybody and then playing out a 1 – 1 draw with Kent himself. Easy enough for RoryT. Kent on the other hand was a just as dominant mauling Frankie 6 – 0 and obliterating poor Hengy 9 – 0, then came the Oscar match. Clearly annoyed at Kent’s entry he decided to forfeit the match after going 2 – 0 down silly thing to do and he will be disciplined as this isn’t the first time, this saw Kent seal progression. With third place still up for grabs Hengy was struggling big time with his Saudi Arabian minnows and this showed in big defeats by Oscar and Frankie, wooden spoon destined for him. Whilst Oscar’s 2 – 1 victory v Frankie saw him secure the third place finish, but not the progression due to a certain ChoiceCity racking up more points in Group D.

Group D was the smallest group with only four entrants and two clear favourites in Tyke and Terry. Tyke saw his first match against Batman’s poor Viking FK outfit, but they dominated Tyke’s Spurs for the first 20 mins but were made to pay in the end for the missed chances, with Tyke running out 5 – 1 winner. Tyke’s second match saw him come up against Real Madrid’s Terry and entertaining 1 – 1 draw which would do no harm to either’s chances with Terry also beating Choice 3 – 0 and following it up with a 3 – 1 victory over Sunny. Choice also beat Batman with a late winner in a 1 – 0 victory, never does things the easy that one and with his much anticipated showdown with Tyke looming. Tyke steamed into a 4 – 0 lead, but then came a crazy second-half with Choice banging in 3 and this resulting in him progressing! This guy is certainly an enigma and always seems to find a way when up against it! On to the knock-outs!

Guys you young nephew blew about £75 yesterday on packs for ps3 ultimate team or something....I don't really know how it works.... he just kept getting "duff" players and doing a quick sale for most of them....It cost him something like £30 to get 10,000 points...and Messi is like 1.5 million

By that reckoning it would cost him 1000s to get top players....

So my question is, what are the tips and tricks to get really good players most effectively?

Kent'll answer that for you, just asked him

Erm I haven't really played it this year. Made most of my money by playing games last year. I'd forget about Messi, you need to be ridiculously lucky in packs to afford him, or just buy a ton.

I'd ask here for trading tips
