I'm sure we will all be busy tomorrow so I'll get it in early. Merry Christmas everyone
We still have 2 games left of 2012 but I don't think anyone expected us to where we are in league at Christmas (well maybe expect Paul H). About a month ago I was confident we could win the league. However recently we've slipped down into the play-offs and makes me wonder is this run of draws our poor form or was the start of the season us overachieving?
Finally what's everyones highlights of 2012?
Mine was the comeback against Cardiff. Going 2-0 down and their fans refusing to give the ball back and then to go 3-2 ahead was great. Closely followed by Jedi's shot against millwall
Merry Christmas!

A Happy Christmas to one and all from a windy Hastings(it must be the brussels).
Nice to see TUX chipping in- Not seen you on here much bud.
Ambrose highlight for me too. Appointing Holloway wasn't bad either.
He does need to start upping it a bit lively though...

Merry Christmas ! !
Shame about the Cardiff result and our recent sticky patch generally, but if you had told me at the beginning of the season that we'd be in 4th at the half way point, I'd have suggested that you had mental health issues.
Now Holloway needs to get us firing again and earn his money- a good place to start would be the City Ground on Saturday.
There is a long way to go and anything can happen- but at least we cannot get relegated from this position! How often in recent years have we been able to say that by Christmas?

Agree with CIE.
Great position to be in currently and we all surely agree on that in the grand scheme of things?
It's hard to get away from the expectation that we could/should have done better since the B******n game though.
I haven't been since then but have not missed a kick on the radio and I just get the feeling that things have gone wrong a little bit with Wilf's pysche and the way we have played generally.
We have thrown games away from winning positions too often and yes, Holloway needs to fix a few things. Am still pleased that we have him over DF though in the long term......
.........See you all on Mon's 'Happy New Year' Thread................

Hello TUX! You've missed all the action from the first half of the season. Obviously when the players don't have to live up to your predictions they do quite well
Recent form hasn't been great but we can't afford to let the teams above us get away. We've hit the halfway point and so still plenty of football to go (and Cardiff are a bunch of bottlers so just need to wait for them to slip up) This January will be vital, not just for Palace but the teams around us.
We have to get past Forest before I start the Happy New Year thread!

Merry Christmas and new year to all. Very happy with 4th place but given that little run it should be so much better. Highlight? far too many but maybe the win at the clowns at the start of the run. Lowlight? Maybe DF leaving under a very murky cloud and then nipping back to get his friends. Was very happy with the signing of 'Olly but he seems more bent on attacking than defence and needs to redress the balance but quickly,
