Scouting

Again i share the frustration of Liverpool fans today which highlights our lack of quality/depth in our squad.I know the two names strongly linked Sturridge and Ince have divided opinion amongst the fans, surely as has been mentioned we can get a couple of foreign loan signings in to create competition for places and improve our quality.I would like to think that our new scouting network has identified realistic targets that will offer value for money if we buy outright. The likes of Michu/Benteke/Hernandez/Cabaye/Ben Arfa the list goes on have been picked up by their respective teams for value for money prices and from good scouting networks.
After the debacle which was the summer transfer window FSG must look at our results and have some communication with Rodgers/Ayre to identify either permanent or loan signings for areas we need strengthening.Surely its in their best interests to provide funds for a competitive squad, which will push for champions league football to create more income/improve the Liverpool brand and make us a more attractive proposition to transfer targets. With a squad our size/quality how are we meant to compete in domestic/cup competitions including the europa league effectively.I realise that teams involved in CL football will be less prepared to let players go unless inflated prices are offered but is this the price to pay for the mess in the summer transfer market.I understand this is a long term project but lets invest in quality where we need it initially and continue the good work at youth level and hopefully see the next Gerrard/Carragher/Fowler come through the ranks and get in the the first team otherwise it will be mid table mediocrity.Come on FSG wake up and smell the coffee in january and dig deep!!!!
