Logged on specifically to see what's being written about today's news. Very surprised there doesn't seem to be anything besides this thread?

News that goverment minutes are to released is a major step forward though will by no means prove anything besides the general mood of the government at the time.

I suspect it could reveal that the goverment knew the police were to blame and helped to keep it quiet. This of course would come as no surprise to any of us but besides including the government in the cover-up we already knew took place within the police, I don't see what else it can prove.

Whatever the outcome, it will help bring Hillsborough closer to some kind of conclusion for all those families who will never be able to put this behind them.

Hillsborough is now intrinsically linked to the history, present and future of Liverpool Football Club and we bear the eternal flame on our badge to remind us.

I suspect that there hasn't been much talk about it because there's no idea what it contains. It could be absolutely nothing. However, I think that the fact it has been suppressed for so long means that it contains something inflammatory.

Possibly to shed more light on police failures, more likely to shed light on the Thatcher govt's role in pushing the blame back onto the club and the fans.

Historically that's interesting, but it'd get us no closer to justice.

Lets hope that you guys get the justice for the 96 and their families. Thatchers Government have a lot to answer for, and it would not surprise me one bit if there has been evidence held back.

Just look at the Bloody Sunday injustice..another Tory Government was also in power in 1972.
We will be having a party when Thatcher dies!!
