Has anyone read Lawros predictions for the next round of fixtures? He's needlessly had a go at David De Gea with some pretty baseless comments. Heres what he said:
"I think Sir Alex Ferguson has got a real problem with the goalkeeping position now - and it is becoming chronic.
David de Gea makes some top-class saves but is guilty of some very ordinary mistakes and that is exacerbating any issues with the players in front of him.
For Newcastle's first goal, he made such an elementary error in dealing with the first shot - the first rule of goalkeeping is to push it to the side of the goal but instead he knocks it straight back out.
We know De Gea is not great on crosses but you think of him as a great shot-stopper. He is now making basic errors on that front as well and, if you are playing in front of him, when a shot comes in you are thinking 'where is this going?'."
This is pretty ridiculous, I can't remember DDG making any errors other than that one this season, he's been one of the most consistent keepers in the league.
I think a well respected goalkeeper needs to have a go at him, to set him straight. I remember Jens Lehmann getting angry at Andy Townsend for criticising a goalkeeping error once (Ronaldo free kick vs Arsenal?), Lawro needs something like that to sort him out.

Metro, De Gea hasn't made the type of mistakes Reina has but I'm pretty sure you think Reina is something special

I think his problem was with pundits eyesights, seeing things that didn't happen. It's not been resolved, no.

De Gea is as dodgy as Joe Hart.. but both are the best 2 keeper in this league and will be the best 2 in the world in 10 years. Some people can't see potential obviously. GKs mature at about 26-28 as well; how young are these 2 BOYS again...
