Let's hope McLeish can bring some much needed discipline to our team. To be frank this is one thing that has been sadly lacking this season, I'm not only on about the sendings off (which have cost us on numerous occasions) but the general indiscipine of players being caught out of position, making the wrong decisions at the wrong time. How many goals have we conceeded this season through the opposition's good play compared with how many we let in due to our own short comings.
So many people look at a team being called disciplined as being rigid and boring but it's more about a player knowing his job and doing it properly. Cloughie installed discipline in his teams and Forest won the league with (at the time) the joint best defensive record in First Division history but they still played with flair, the Liverpool team that took the title off them had an even better defensive record but that never detracted from their attacking performances.
Barcelona and Spain are incredibly disciplined but still manage to be exciting and fluent.

We'll probably be slightly more disciplined, but we won't be in anyway exciting or fluent. And discipline would've come with SOD eventually/

TBF - in terms of attacking and midfield options, Eck has little to worry about.
For me it's the defence that needs addressing and hopefully he's just the man to deal with that.
Still not happy with SoD's dismissal but we now need to throw our support behind the new man.
