CPL; 31) Everton (a)

A professional win on Boxing Day at a ground where both Arsenal and United lost, a vital 3 points in maintaining the distance from fellow Top 4 rivals and gaining ground on 2nd placed Man City after their result a the Stadium of Light.

TCP managed his first perfect prediction of the season by correctly going for a 1-0 win with Mata getting on the scoresheet first. The 20 points moves him up from joint 15th into 4th place and within striking distance of the Top 3.

Perhaps showing how important the little Spanish genius has become, 13/42 (31%) of us correctly predicted that Mata would score first. One of those was CFC1L1L1C who closed the heap on our long time leader Don Mata to just 7 points.

We lost 6 posters to the dreaded relegation this week as well. But Mr Carneiro had his very own great escape with 6 points from the last 2 games and managed to survive. The new relegation mark is 12 points after game 40.

Next up its a trip to Everton to face the Toffees at Goodison Park on Sunday 30th December at 1.30pm.

Relegation Zone;

If you are in the relegation zone (the grey bit) after the 20th game, the 30th game, the 40th game etc etc then you lose all of your points and get taken off the leaderboard. You can still re-enter, but you'll start from zero.

Scoring Points;
Correct Score - 8 pts
Correct First Goalscorer - 5 pts
Correct Result - 3 pts
Perfect Prediction - 20 pts

Just a reminder that you can predict 0-0 with a first Goalscorer. You can't get a perfect prediction for a 0-0 but you can hedge your bets slightly by going for a goalless draw and having a go at getting the FGS
