Liverpool comfortably overcame Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Sunday evening in the Premier League.
From the first whistle, Liverpool dominated the game and did all the damage in the first half. Luis Suarez was the star of the show and he opened the scoring on 10 minutes. He received the ball on the edge of the box before turning, ghosting past Clint Hill and then rolling it into the bottom left corner.
Six minutes later the Uruguayan doubled Liverpool's lead. He received the ball from Stewart Downing on the right and made his way into the box. He played the ball across goal but Nedum Onuoha slid it to hit it away. But he only managed to give it straight back to Suarez, and he smashed it in.
The third goal was scored on 28 minutes from a corner kick. Downing played it short to Steven Gerrard, and he crossed it in for Daniel Agger to head in.
From here it looked as though Liverpool would go on to record a big win, but they could not find any more goals to add to their tally.
In the second half, QPR were much improved and dealt with Liverpool's attack much better, but they did not really create any clear cut chances themselves. Their main threat came from set pieces, with Stephane Mbia disappointing with a couple of free kicks.
The result lifts Liverpool to ninth place in the league, eight points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

I think we kept our defence playing in position for the first half and then pushed them up later in the game. We really need to do this more often instead of oppo scoring on the counter attack. 5 man back line works away from home.

Just a we were found our against Stoke QPR showed where we have improved, we punished them for a failure to work hard enough.
The team needs an overhaul but the basic team pattern has been implemented.
Let's hope some new signings will help us kick on

Cheers everyone, good way to end the year. Disappointed that we didn't go on to score more goals, but can't really complain about the result. Happy New Year everyone and I'll see you back here in 2013!
