Not since we had Alexander Hleb have we had a winger who can dribble past players and create out of nothing
Still think we lack a natural dribbler on the wings when our passing football doesn't function we need a player to go past 1st/2nd line of defence
Nowadays its harder to go past players on the wing because you get less space and you get crowded out
But Zaha has got the skills/tricks/feet to go past a player both ways you won't find many 2 footed wingers like him in Europe
Gotta say been very disappointed with Oxlade Chamberlain thought he could really do a job on the wing, I don't see him as a CM
Wilfried Zaha is exactly what we need

Opinions are biased. Stats aren't. I agree there are always exceptions but in general all the best strikers in the world have the best stats (unless they are in a rubbish league). There are few examples of stats being "misleading BS" compared to the thousands and thousands of examples of stats being correct. Strikers jobs are to score and create goals.

There are more than 'a few exceptions' mate. There are hundreds.

5 goals in 26 games for a winger isn't bad at all. Hleb scored about 7 league goals in his PL career. Old John Lennon down the lane averages 3 a season, Stewart Downing gets 1 a season.
However, I personally don't see Zaha as a good buy. We have plenty with similar potential at the club already who can play wide (Afobe, Ryo, Gnabry, Campbell, Eisfeld can play there, Toral etc) Rather we tried to develop the youngsters we already have than buy another youngster with potential. We have enough first team players who can play wide, so unless it is a proven winger bought in then there is little point imo.

Its just stupid to judge young players on their goals/assists stats
When you play for a lower league team on the wing your less likely to get as many assists/goals if you play in a top team better players, better service etc

football isn't a science, watching players is far more important than stats.

Surely we have enough young players, we need a winger with top level experience.

Zaha is ready to play premiership football according to Mark Bright.

Is this the same Mark Bright who said last year that Liverpool will win the league?
