Chicksen at Right Back

He did have a quality game but I dont think he would suit being there for the whole season! A good back up for both full back positions. Still need an experienced RB and CB.

It seems a number of clubs are worried about their RB position, might be with looking in the Conference to see if there was someone worth taking a gamble on.

I know it is stating the obvious, but with a good defence you can pinch a game 1-0, but you can hardly do that if you are already 3-0 down.

Who do people think will be Karl's first choice to fill the postion for the first game against Hartlipool

Bill, if you're asking what I predict the line up will be if we have the same squads as TODAY next Saturday then:

I think Chicksen will cope against the fast tricky wingers but I do worry about the big ones who rely on strength, but then Doumbe can be played at right back for those games if fit.

We are at full stretch for cover at the back and with a couple of injuries we could suffer if we don't get a couple in.

I thought Robbo ruled out any loan signings but if Chicksen is going to be 1st choice I can't see an established right back being happy as cover.

I also hope Robbo forgets this idea that midfield players can cover as defenders as they are two different types of animal.

He does now deserve to be in the first team, and he did play well, despite being asked to play out of position.

But the best place for him by far, is at Left Back.

We still need a real Right Back (and cover) for that key position.

There's indeed very few things that we disagree on Furzdonny...

Team for the first league game is just a bit too soon to predict for me atm - Doumbe's injury plus more players still to sign yet, plus hopefully some good season long loans (like Balanta was) again, too.

I hope so anyway, as the squad has insufficient cover to maintain a season long campaign atm, and it starts in just over a week...

Looking forward to seeing more at Barnet tomorrow - my first return to Underhill since our 2-0 top of the league victory there back in 08.
