No I am not going to give him a chance, and here is why;
His post match interview was riddled with the same sort of nonsense Hill comes out with - 'Proud of the lads' 'heading in the right direction' 'fighting spirit' etc.
We lose football matches, we always concede at least two goals. Hill never addressed and Flicker hasn't today and made all the same fundamental mistakes Hill Did. Here it is as I see it;
1) Hassell and Foster have been in the relegation scrap time and time again with this club, and come through. Why not use them?
2) Constant tinkering, The two of them have this absurd notion we have a 'rotation squad' and we can pick players to match any opponent, changing the CB pairing over and over again has been a disaster and today was yet another variation.
3) Tom Kennedy!!! What? Didn't realise he was still on the books! He has not been on the bench for months, and yet out of nowhere he is back in the side! We have far too many players in the side, and I worry that the policy is to keep the happy, not playing the best side we have, in recent weeks it has been infuriating to see us lose games with better players on the bench.
Finally, I spat my coffee at the computer screen when I heard Flicker compare Dagnall to Suarez.
Sigh.... Flitcroft out

We were unlucky today, but the fact remains we lost again. We couldn't muster up more than a single goal again, against one of the division's worst defenses. Peterborough, a relegation rival, have done the double over us. They have possibly even smaller resources than us, and yet they have won 4 of their last 5.
I am almost past caring about results at the moment because I know that whilst their is an element of Hill's regime (Flitcroft) in charge then, even though he is doing his best, we will remain at the bottom of the table and we won't win games. Alongside this, I said I had faith in our players, but this is also evaporating quickly with each game where we fail to score more than once and concede comically bad goals. The likes of McNulty and Wiseman simply aren't good enough, Davies now seems to think it ok to not do anything in a game other than complain at the referee, and all the while (as has been said) we have Sir Bobby and another long-serving defender not playing.
I don't know who or what can get us out of this mess but the rot needs to stop now. The players need to buck their ideas up and the board need to move heaven and earth to get Sean O' Driscoll at the helm. Failing that, someone else who knows the division well. Otherwise we are doomed.
On a merrier note, happy new year to everyone and hopefully this time next year we will still be supporting a Championship club.

Simple fact is that we can't afford Flitcroft's compo, we can barely meet Hill's. Also the board have to find the cash for the new manager who will want to bring in his own backroom team...I don't envisage a transfer frenzy in this window...
Perhaps the club could employ U-Bend, as a financial adviser...

Made worse by all the so called 'fans' who don't renew their season tickets.

What seems bizarre to me, is that people seem to be accepting that we're down, yet still have this 'who could do any better' mentality. Very strange.
Surely we should only be sticking with the manager if we think he can keep us up??
Surely if you think we'll go down, we have to at least try something different?
One thing's for sure. If we do go down, I won't be renewing my ST.

Classic move, sack the manager and keep the assistant, makes you look like you're listening to the fans AND you save money

Mmm, maybe we should go for the wendies assistant manager? An ex Oakwell star who has, in a few weeks, papered over the cracks of the ineptitude of the scouse moaner.
