King move made permanent
Manchester United's first sale of 2013 has been completed with 20 year-old striker Joshua King joining Blackburn Rovers on a permanent basis. The transfer fee is undisclosed.
The Norwegian international initially joined the Lancashire club on loan at the end of November. Now, after scoring two goals in eight appearances, King has signed a contract that ties him to Blackburn until the summer of 2015, with the option of a further year to follow.
"I've enjoyed my time here, we've a great group of lads and I think I've settled in well," King told Blackburn's official website. "I'm happy to be here and I'm really looking forward to the next two-and-a-half years that I've signed for.
"Everybody has made me so welcome here and I feel comfortable here. I'm happy to make the deal permanent."
King was a reserve-team regular at United and made two competitive appearances in the first team, both as a substitute. His debut came in a home Carling Cup victory over Wolves in September 2009, when he played the last nine minutes as Danny Welbeck's replacement.
The Norwegian played his second and last senior game in November this season when coming on for Welbeck again in the 1-0 away defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Probably the signing of Henriquez that put the nail in his coffin then?

I don't understand why we are signing players without a manager. What if King doesn't fit in with the new manager's style of play? What if the new manager just doesn't rate him?

Steve Kean - Well How can you understand anything that is happening at your club ? It's farcical! They are appointing and doing what they want and have little clue. You have a good little player there who should do well for you.

Anyone knows how well Mame Biram Diouf has done?
I think he's been injured a lot, I think he has scored 12 goals in like 28 starts though. Decent player by all accounts.

18, not 28.

A little bit sad that he's left tbh however I wish him all the best at Blackburn.
It was always going to be very difficult for him to break into the first team with the amount of forwards we have. He's also 21 and in contention for a place in the Norwegian National side so his decision to want to play week in week out at club level is a very sensible one.
I think he said if it didn't look like he had a chance of breaking through to the first team this season, he would leave.
He had been one of our best players at U-21 level this season so perhaps deserved more chances at first team level than he got which is what I would've liked to have seen.
Anyway I'm glad he seems to be doing well at Blackburn and I think he could well turn into a very good player and one day play at a higher club level.

King is a good signing. Young, cheap and has the potential to be a good player for us. His pace and determination will always be a threat. Much better to have him on a permanent transfer than have him go back to United in the summer.

He is young and talented and he should do ok for us,TBH I would take anybody who can play but I just hope when our new Discus Throwing,or Cycling Manager(*footy know-how not needed at Rovers) is appointed, the lad is not discarded.Due to the players at OT many youngsters are often transferred because the competion is so fierce.

Mame Biram Diouf was terrible in the Prem for us last season and if he is scoring all those goals he deff is in a nothing league,,no idea were the guy is playing but no were near United class,he wasnt good enough at oue place and i reckon we saw more of his game that the Man u fans have,,in fact that is the same with King again not Man u quality,,would not have made first team footy,,now he has signed for us lets hope he continues to try hard,,should be ok for the Champs but will not hack it in the Prem, although if he stays with us he has no worries on that score.
