Edu!!!!

I know there's been an article about Edu already today so apologies for this but I feel so strongly I had to get this out.

He's truly awful........painfully bad........what's the point of him??

Defensively - no dig whatsoever, he just jogs into position goalside, marking nobody and when a central midfielder gets the ball he strolls out to him, stopping 3 yards short and waits on the guy passing the ball away, he then jogs back 10 yards to leave the same guy wide open for another pass......no pressure on the ball at all.

In the Hearts game when Davis or Naismith were receiving passes they had a guy on top of them pressuring their 1st touch........Edu NEVER does this.

Attacking- 1st touch poor, passing poor considering it's a square ball to the fullback 19/20 times..........he had the chance against Hearts 3 times to play someone in on a break and blew it everytime, one a misplaced pass and twice he dwelt on the ball too long and players eventually were offside due to his dithering.

The fact that he gets a game every week regardless of performance is frightening to me.

There were 3 things from the very successful Walter Smith era I was praying McCoist would leave behind.

1- playing players out of position all the time..........

2- when things aren't working make a change.......Ally reverted to smiths 70mins rule on Saturday when everyone could see Ortiz on the left was a mistake and no subs at all last night(injury excluded)

3- Edu...no more Edu

Major disappointment on all 3 counts.

in fairness to edu, he always wanted the ball last night which is more than can be said of others in the team. Particularily big lee.

I would say that Edu is nowhere near your worst performer, from what I have seen over the past 12 months.

he prob is our worst performer over last 12 months but imo not the last two games. Big lee was anonymus these two games, yet edu is still getting most of the blame. Easy scapegoat imo

I'm afraid education will never make the grade at rangers always thought he was poor just runs about like a headless chicken time for him too go contributes nothing for us.

Elite

The problem with Edu is he's never been good, his whole Gers career is filled with bad performances.........not just the last 2 games

Lee Mac has been bad this season, we surely can't continue with these 2 every game??

i agree that we cant continue with these 2. Shouldnt have 2 def mids playing regardless who they are.

I actually thought edu started last season really well, particularily the champ league.

Based on the first two games of this season, imo, lee has been worse. Wouldnt know he was playing on saturday if he hadnt chopped ian black.

Edu and McCulloch are both terrible.

Naismith is better on the wing.

Whittaker is hugely over-rated.

Weir is done.

We should go 4-4-2

GK McGregor

LB Wallace
CB Papac
CB Goian
RB Bougherra

LM Wylde
CM Davis
CM Ness
RM Naismith

FW Jelavic
FW Healy

Edu is the worst player at Rangers.

He's one of the worst players I have ever seen. Clearly not a footballer. Not gonna echo all the man marking space and just bobbing about comments from earlier, I agree wholly with them all.

He's terrible and Jamie Ness in there alongside Davis should be the 1st choice CM partnership when both are fit and available. Shunting Davis to the right hand side for ANYONE let alone this imposter Edu is unforgivable and is Davis isn't restored to CM on Sat then I would love Ally to explain his reasoning as a blind man can see that Jig and Edu are both pants and should never ever be in there together.

Ortiz is not a left winger, clear as day he's not a left winger, he has no left foot. Get him on the right with Wylde on the left and Davis in the middle with McCulloch until Ness is fit and then get him in there instead.

No need to panic just yet but if Ally can't see these glaringly obvious mistakes and bad tactical choices then panic stations will not be far around the corner.
