Craig Davies

Sources close to Bolton Wanderers suggest Craig Davies to have talks with them tomorrow about a possible move.

I would rather do a straight swap with Bolton.

Davies for Davies.

Brighton,

We've got two - Big Kev and Ickle Mark.

And we ain't swapping either of 'em.....

On a serious note, I'm a bit concerned about this deal, as we've already got one Twitter obsessed, mediocre, largely unproven, poor attitude carrying, "I'm a superstar, me", bench-warming "striker" in Marvin Sordell.

Would you take him as a straight swap?

I would. For such a young striker his record with Watford, especially with Danny Graham also in the team, was superb. Davies had a good record in League 2 and since his 4 goals at Brum has been found out as a fairly lazy passenger with the touch of a rapier-ist and turning circle of an oil-tanker.
As has been said Harewood has looked livelier recently and even though he's only scored twice (limited opportunities tbf), has still managed more than Davies since the game at St Andrews. For a striker who had so much promise and is still only 21, we could be the chance Sordell needs to resurrect his career a la Vaz Te.

Whatever the buy-out clause, we should take it as I'd rather have some money to spend than a player who's scored once in 3 and a half months and contributes nothing in games.

Oh and Ilkley, McGoldrick has just gone to Ipswich on loan for the rest of the season.

Great he will bang a couple passed us in our next league game then

Tony Caldwell's 'tache,

I was referring to big Kev, I would trade the two of them in a heartbeat.

If things are going well, Craig Davies is the man, if you are struggling he is the last person you want.

Cheers Brighton.

I suspected as much.

He's definitely "one of the new breed" isn't he...?

If we are desperate for goals, it would appear that Rotherham has a tasty strikeforce doing the business, er - Oddjob and Lardy something, perhaps we should look at the lower divisions again and 'bring them on'. Perhaps there is a bit more time and space in the box in the lower divisions.

Or maybe defenders can't defend in the lower leagues.
Sound familiar...?
