A fan confronts a player = get 3 year ban
A player misses a drugs test = slapped wrists
Where is the consistency?
----------------
Consistency with 2 completely different scenarios? Is your brain for show?
I'll give you consistency;
Man City player misses drugs test - a warning is issued
Adrian Mutu - takes drugs and is given a 7 month ban
Kolo Toure - takes drugs and is banned for 6 months
Rio Ferdinand - misses a drugs test, offers to take it again and offers his hair - banned for 8 months and a £50k fine
Now, your question becomes relevant; where's the consistency?

MUDD I do see where you are coming from, but one incident is someone throwing an insult from the stands, no physical danger. The other is someone running onto the field to attack someone. The former gets a lifetime ban while the latter gets only 3 years. it isn't consistant because one is more dangerous than the other yet the punishment is lighter.

This is from the FA who favour us as well. I can only figure Rio must have been playing really badly and they were doing us a favour taking him out of the team...

Player goes on pitch and confronts rio before being led away by joe hart =3 year ban

I'm sorry it is never okay for a player to attack a fan.
All I'm saying is if lifetime bans are handed out for people coming onto the pitch in a threatening way then i should work the same the other way around. Cantona should have got the same as this kid got

Not really, the Palace fan had provoked Cantona in the eyes of a reasonable person whereas the Man City invaded the pitch without any direct provocation. Even in the eyes of the law their is a huge difference between reactinf to racist abuse and attacking someone without being provoked.
