A 4-2-3-1 formation with emphasis on retaining possession, and exploiting the wings.

Keeper
He should look to punch rather than make any catches that are overly risky.

Full Backs
When going forward, they should provide a wide option for the wingers. When defending, they should look to just track the wingers and not make any rash tackles.

Centre Backs
When the ball is on the floor, the onus is more on blocks than tackles, and in the air they should look to head the ball to wide positions. When on the ball, just look to play it simple to a man in space and keep posession.

Defensive Midfielders
Both players will look to play a high energy pressing game, harassing the opposition midfielders on the ball. Obiang has licence to go forward in attack, whilst Inler stays back to cover the back 4.

Wingers
Both wide men have pace and the ability to play on either flank, so will look to switch flanks every so often and target the wing backs.

Attacking Midfielders
Volland will look to keep himself between the lines of the opposition defence and midfield, looking to make himself that half a yard to fire off a shot.

Striker
Osvaldo will look to pick up little pockets of space in front of the CB's and then look to use his quick feet to get round them. When defending he will keep the CBs honest and limit their time on the ball.

U21 Tactics:

--------------------Timo Horn
Danilo--Papadopoulos-Nastasic--Luke Shaw
--------Nemanja Matic---Leon Goretzka
M'Baye Niang--Romelu Lukaku---Draxler
-----------------------Mauro Icardi

Subs: Ogbonna, Rekik, Shaw, Alberto, Imbula, Niang, Suso

Today against Chelsea, We name a strong team, with seniors like Matic and Goretzka, whilst a very strong defence consisting of two of the best young CBs in the world with the FBs to match. In this game, Danilo's aim of the game is to rampage down the right flank hard and fast and hunt down the RB. Papadopoulos needs to stay as a rock in defence and win everything in the air using his immense strength to barge players off the ball. Nastasic is the faster, ball playing CB who loves to have the ball at his feet, and is always there with a tackle. Nastastic smells danger from miles away, and is very fast for a CB so must track the main CB. Both CBs are good in the air, so between them mist clear any danger from set plays etc. Luke Shaw at LB is very very fast and very good attacking wise, whilst he is no defensive slouch either. He must connect with Draxler down the Left flank, and as soon as Draxler drifts inside, Luke Shaw must take that space and bomb down the left, whilst his crossing is top class, so must find the heads of Lukaku and Icardi. In midfield, Goretzka plays CM alongisde Matic who is the DM. Matic marks the AM out of the game, reading the game well from his position. Goretzka is also good coming forward from midfield, so he musn't be afraid to step into the attack where he has good pace and energy. However, when Goretzka attacks, Matic must stay back and vice versa. This is because we don't want to get caught out on the break, and leave a gaping hole in the centre of midfield. Goretzka's job is to drive the team on from CM, using his great power and burst to carry the ball onwards. He will be the one lurking outside the box ready to pounce in the ball, whilst he will he pressing the opposition midfield high up the pitch, winning the ball back before playing the ball out to the wings. Out on the right wing M'Baye Niang will look to cut in on his left foot, and use his great speed and accelaration to turn defenders inside out. His aim is to get to the byline and cross the ball into the box, where our two very good physical strikers will be lurking. M'Baye Niang also has permission to attack the LCB, trying to take him out of position. In AM, Lukaku will be staying on the DM/deepest CM, looking to torment him all game long. When the ball comes to the CM, Lukaku will auomatically drop back and look to pressurise him into losing the ball. Lukaku is very powerful, so will often join icardi in the box, looking to get on the end of crosses. On the left Draxler is two footed so will use this to his advantage and look to cut in on his right and get inswinging crosses into to Lukaku/Icardi, or take it on his left and look to skip his way into the box. Draxler is very fast, which will be very important when we attack, as we will be looking to release him and M'Baye Niang from deep, and their pace will be very important in clocking up the yards. Up front, Icardi will be the finisher, and look to feed off the support from the winger. He will always have Lukakus back, and the two of them must form a partnership to bag us the goals. Icardis movement is on point, and he must try and get around the defence using his quick thinking and knack offinding the net

Subs:

60mins: Imbula > Goretzka, more energy in midfield

If losing 65: Alberto > Niang, more flair

Subs. Lingard, Belfodil, Coulibaly, Dybala, Ademilson
Mexes and Bruno Martins Indi form a strong base to our side. With Reyes just in front of them playing as dm, we have plenty protection for our young GK. Mexes and Rakitic offer the experience in the side.
When defending we want to get 10 men behind the ball, leaving Belfodil as the sole striker.
Canales and Ox keep width in first two thirds.
We’ve got plenty of talent in the midfield, get on the ball. Everyone has creative freedom in the final third.

-------------------Butland-------------------
-----------Bossaerts---Muniesa------------
Van Rhijn------------------------Rodriguez
-------------Clasie-------Witsel------------
--------------------Maher--------------------
Weimann--------------------------Ocampos
------------------A.Morata-------------------

Christensen, Biteco, Aboagye, Cuevas, Mina, Perisic, Rhodes

an attacking line up with Butland in goal, a solid young keeper, comes off his line for high balls and punches what he cant clear, release wide players quickly.

Young Bossaerts comes in, has learned a lot from Kompany so bases his game on him, a big strapping lad who will dominate in the air and clear everything, Muniesa is a classy player, who i want to pick up the CF and mark him very tightly and not allow him any time to turn in on goal.
Rodriguez and Van Rhijn are an attacking threat from deep get up and support the wingers best they can going on the outside to look for a pass or just to take the fbs away, get crosses in if they do get it down the line, defend stronglt in a back 4 and keep there wingers to the outside away from danger.

Witsel and Clasie will form the wall in front of the defence, both capable of bursting forward but one must always stay back, pass and move into space to recieve the pass back always making themselves available, when defendign stay strong keep them quiet and hound them out of the game.

Maher in the free role loves supporting and bursting forward to help out Morata, will pick up from deep and spray it about then get into dangerous positions, great skill and a very good eye for goal. stop the DM getting forward by getting right in his face when they have.

Weimann and Ocampos have great ability and love to take on the fullbacks, will get support so use them or not, if not get it into Morata/Maher and cut in to look for the lay off and maybe get a shot off. Drive at there defenders and get beyond them either to cross or shoot. Defend the lines by tracking there fullbacks.

Morata will move about, sometines going out wide to drag his marker away to aallow the likes of Maher, Weimann and Ocampos to drive into the space he leaves. If not then he will alwaysd be looking to shoot. always on the last man ready to pounce.

Captain:- Witsel
Penalties:- Morata/Mina
Free kicks:- Maher/Clasie
corners:- Wingers

Subs:-

60 Mins:- Perisic > Ocampos
70 Mins:- Mina > Maher (sits just off Morata/Rhodes)
75 Mins:- Rhodes > Morata

Under 21’s Final.

--------- S.Johnstone
Rafael – Jones – Reyes -- Indi
--------- Pogba – Banega
Ox -------- Coutinho -- Kovacic
-------------- Eto’o

Subs. M.Keane, Wootton, Powell, Barkley, Canales, Belfodil, Dybala

Balanced 4-2-3-1. Rigid in defence, fluid in attack. FB’s provide width, allowing our wide players to come inside. Eto’o runs the channels, stretch our play and drag the opposition defenders out of position.

Build from the back. Our defenders are all comfortable on the ball, and have great pace. We will look to play a high line, playing the ball out from the back. Pushing the opposition back, keeping the opposition pinned in as we get our creative players up the pitch in attacking positions. One full back forward at a time.

Pogba and Banegathe two key players today, getting on the ball and controlling the tempo of our play, and the direction of our attack. When one gets forward the other stays deep,Pogba the more defensive. In front of them Coutinho will be looking for space between the opposition defence and midfield, creating space and time for our two deeper cms.

With a high line, they have the options all around them, allowing us to go back and start again. Patient attacking build up.
Ox and Kovacic stay wide in first two thirds of park, freedom in final third.

Eto’o spearheads the attack. Looking to get on the ball he will constantly be looking to make darting runs and get on the end of through balls out wide, and through the middle.

In a team full of experience only S.Johnstone is not a full international in our side. This experience will be key. Our main defensive tactic is to dominate possession. We will look to get 9 men behind the ball when the opposition build up steam, two lines of 4, with Coutinho in front following the play from left to right on their dm. Eto’o stays forward.

Subs.
If winning after 70 mins bring on Canales for Kovacic. Coutinho left. Keep us fresh in the middle.
If winning after 80 mins bring on Belfodil for Eto'o. Fresh legs to close out the game.

If losing/drawing after 70 mins bring on Belfodil for Kovacic. Eto'o right, Ox left.
If losing/drawing after 80 mins bring on Dybala for Ox. Coutinho left, Dybala behind Belfodil.

In midfield, Matic plays DM alongside Verratti who is the dictator. Matic marks the AM out of the game, reading the game well from his position. Matic is also good coming forward from midfield, so he musn't be afraid to step into the attack where he has good pace and energy. However, when Matic attacks, Verratti must stay back and vice versa. Lukaku's movement is on point, and he must try and get around the defence using his quick thinking and knack offinding the net. His huge frame will be a problem throughout, and he must really use his powerful body to try and bully the defenders

Subs:

60mins if drawing/losing: Grenier > Verratti, more energy in midfield, Matic stays strictly DM

If losing 65: Icardi > Draxler, Icardi is very strong, need a powerful figure who can play up top with Lukaku. We play 4-4-2, without an AM
