United Trophyless again this season?

Will they blow the league agin this season?Almost unthinkable that with Fergie at the Helm it could happen.I was watching highlights of the FA cup final they bossed but lost to arsenal in 2005, another season they ended without a trophy.

Of late united who used to have bags of luck notably in the Champion league final against Bayern are incredibly unlucky.Choking in the last few weeks of the league last season, only to think they were back in it thanks to QPR only for aguero to snatch it while they were celebrating, those are not the kind of things you associate with united.Reminds me on how they blew the 2nd leg against Bayern 3 seasons back and you can add the Basle spectacle to that.Needing a draw and blowing that too.

For united to end the season trophyless they would plausibly get knocked out of the champions league by say Real, get knocked out of the FA cup quite early and get hauled in by City.

The first 2 are quite possible however for the 3rd to occur they would need to drop quite a number of points as they have already collected points in difficult fixtures away from home.I still think teams like Chelsea,Spurs, liverpool and arsenal will play a huge role in deciding the title and add to that a relegation battle that has teams like Sunderland,Newcastle & QPR nothing is decided yet.

In theme with uniteds extraordinary badluck of late note how they lost to Chelsea in the last minute of their Carling Cup tie.It could happen! #believe

So to summarise united are in competitions but they havent won them yet, and there's a possibility they won't. Truly insightful.

Arsenal to win the league this year??
Seems almost unthinkable with wenger at the helm but it could happen.

You mean like the 3 he already has won for us....2 in double seasons and 1 unbeaten ??.....

So long ago now tho, everything he implemented to win those leagues other clubs have taken on and improved whereas Arsenal have stood still for almost a decade

Nah well win the league, the quality of the prem has fallen and with rvp scoring we don't drop points like last year. Also Hernandez is back in much better form and Rooney will improve.

We don't have a hope in the cl and the fa cup depends on how fergie takes it and of course a bit of luck. Well know by about 4.30 how important it is too him.

These guys never learn do they?
They thought they had it in the bag towards the end of last season, only for City to catch up and beat them to it.
So arrogant and assuming. No wonder people dislike these guys.

I don't even know where to start here, the amount of "we'll do the quadruple" articles i've seen on this board over the years (on here and bbc606) is just the tip of the iceberg.

Mancinis inept management and poor man management has come to the fore this season. Last year he could afford to put eleven of his best players on the pitch and assume they would do a job. Now those players have a title winners medal. They aren't as hungry and need proper management.
