Another defeat for Villarreal at El Madrigal, has seriously harmed their automatic promotion chances.
Barcelona B took the lead through Planas in stoppage time of the first half and they doubled their lead with a goal from Lobato on the 73rd minute.
Villarreal were awarded a penalty just four minutes later and Marcos Senna struck the ball past Jordi Masip to get them back in the game.
However, Barcelona B rounded off their victory courtesy of an own goal from Jaume Costa and resigned Villarreal to another defeat and possibly Velazquez his job as manager.
Villarreal have now just one win in six games.
If Girona win tomorrow, then Villarreal will be nine points off second place and an automatic promotion place meaning that they must retain their place in the top six just to get the chance of a Play-Off for promotion.
The game was played in front of just 8,000 people as the club's attendances have been hit by a miserable year in the club's fortune and have also been severely impacted by the abysmal economic situation in Spain which has affected all of Spanish Football.

Even the playoffs will be hard to make if this form goes on much longer. They'd slipped to 7th tonight until Racing scored the winner vs Ponferradina, and Las Palmas could still leapfrog them tomorrow.
Just read you got 8M for Rossi though - all things considered, that's not a bad price at all.
