Evening reds
Who do you think will go where before August 31st. I think there will be quite a few big money moves this year, here is what I think will happen...
Falcao- I think this is guaranteed (unless Atletico win the league), there are very few teams who could afford him City, Chelsea, Real and PSG being the obvious ones. Will probably end up at Chelsea as a replacement for Torres, if he does I think Chelsea will win the league.
Ronaldo- Can't see him staying at Madrid. PSG, City and United are the most likely destinations, hopefully SAF will do what ever it takes to bring him back. Going off some of his recent comments he won't be joining City and I dont think he wants to spend some of his prime years in France. We can dream.
Modric- He has been voted Spains worst signing of 2012, he isn't getting games and he looks unhappy. Will probably return to the EPL with Chelsea.
Torres- Could be on his way back to Spain as a replacement for Falcao, can't see him being at Chelsea come September.
Nani- Would love him to stay, by far our best winger but it looks like this may be his last year at OT. May end up at Arsenal but I think he is more likely to go to Italy with Juve.
Balotelli- Would love him to stay at City, I think deep down he is a United fan and seems to be doing everything he can to send the PL back to OT (along with Hart) but if City want to win more titles they need to get rid of players like this. Will probably end up at Milan
Cavani- Top player. Unfortunatly I think he will end up at City, Aguero, Tevez and Cavani upfront
Suarez- Vile person but world class. Don't think he will stay at Liverpool unless they scrape a top 4 place. I think he will end up at Madrid but will not go for cheap.
So what do you think will happen this year in the world of transfers?
Big transfers between now and August 31st

I think Ronaldo will move. When watching him this season he seems like half the player he was last year and Suso, who is bitter?

Could you guys seriously afford Ronaldo if PSG or City are in the running? I'm genuinely interested, not WUMMING. I understand that his personal choice out of the three would be United, but could you guys go as far with the finances to match the other two?

if we wanted could afford anyone to be fair

Obviously head to head with City we can not compete financially, but we have the advantage in that he would rather play for us than them. I think we could do enough financially to get him.

The reason I'm wondering is that Madrid are not as stupid as we are. Plus the money is not as big a deal for them.
With Van Persie, once he made it obvious he wanted to go to United rather than City, Wenger was never going to stand in his way because he's a bit soft. Anybody else would've packed him off to another league.
Madrid would, in my opinion, play hard ball and leave it to a proper bidding war to decide his destination.
Of course, he could just choose to run his contract down if they prevent him from moving where he wants to.

Rubbish. It has little to no effect. He was playing silly beggars last year and they were fine. What they need is to get rid of Mancini who is inept.

Depends on Ronaldo's stance, if he was to say he only wanted to go to Old Trafford then Madrid would have little choice unless they was an unhappy player.
If he turned round and said he would only move to Utd in the PL then it would leave the likes of PSG but it's whether he'd go to France or not I guess.
If you asked me he wouldn't move to City, probably not Chelsea. But money talks, I'm not stupid enough to dismiss the possibility of him at CIty.

Wouldn't be upset at losing Nani. Extremely inconsistent and frustrating player who has never really hit the heights he should have. Would love to sign a proper winger to replace, Rodriguez would be ideal.

I don't think he'd go to City either, but could see him at Chelsea if the right manager was in charge.
How much would you be willing to pay for him if he became available?

No more than £50m, and that's only because it's him. Any transfer above £15m/£20m on a fully developed player tends to worry me. I'm for spending big on the right young player (Rooney/ Rio), although the RVP transfer worried me so there you go.
