Goalkeeper

Could one good performance, a series of shaky performances or both bring a change between the sticks for the next game? Bogdan may go on to be a very good keeper for us but Lonergan has experience and does our awful defence need that at this current time?

they still leaked 2 goals .so i dont think there's much in it . the only change should be { knight } ,lets see how we go from there " hopefully " there will be somebody in knights position for the next game .

You don't put in the performance lonergan did against Sunderland and not play the next game. Simple as that.

I can't see Bogdan being dropped, but a good performance from an understudy sometimes has the knack of causing the number one to raise his game a bit.

I also wouldn't drop Boggers just yet. If we get Wheater back to play alongside Ream and finally drop Knight who has been at the heart of our crap defence for such a long time, Boggers might be offered a bit more protection and hence get his confidence back. Next GK selection for the Millwall game is an important decision and could reflect what way DF is going to go.

I did think Lonergan looked very good at the weekend!

What makes you think Wheater is going to improve our team? Long-term injuries always take away some talent, at least for the first few months..

its a no brainer for me for bogdan to have a break.i dont think lonergan is actually a better keeper than bogdan but he is more experienced and streetwise at this level.lonergan seems to organise and talk to his defenders far more than bogdan does at corners.

You say Bogdans better, and then go on to describe in detail a number of skills lonergan has over Bogdan.

Bogdan isnt very good at all i dont think.

Some keepers at a young age, like bogdan, arent very good commanders of there box, or distributors, but they have one saving grace, they are good shot stoppers. The best ever example of this was Casillas, he was very young when he started, but was a phenomenal shot stopper, and has grown to be one of the best in the world.

Bogdan, isnt even a good shot stopper

Have to agree with that. I can't remember when I last saw Boggers flinging himself across the goal mouth to tip a shot over or round the post.

Goal keepers should be rotated anyway IMO.

All players need first team experience to be of any use.

I am still waiting for the usual "we shouldn't have sold Al Habsi comment!"

I am surprised he is still at Wigan.
