He gets fouled repeatedly every game and has been keeping his feet even though he shouldn't 99% of the time.
Some say Brendan has had a word but quite frankly I think he just realised the chances of him being given the right call are practically nil so he does everything he can to keep going.

Well we'll have to disagree with that.

You can't deny he's dived this season. You also can't deny, surely, that - despite an improvement - when he is fouled, on occasion he will exaggerate the pain he's in and the fall.

Those two things aren't particularly difficult to cut out, and they'd make a big difference.

I appreciate lots of players do the latter, but he's in the spotlight, hence this discussion.

There have been more examples of him not going down, when fouled (against Cueller in the recent Sunderland match being an obvious example), than him exaggerating the pain he is in. So yes this reputation should be subsiding.

Just wondering. How do you know he's 'exaggerating pain'? Surely that's a very subjective thing. Only Luis knows whether a foul warrants a particular reaction, as he's the one experiencing the pain. Also how do you know what his pain threshold is?

Just because he's doing it less doesn't mean the reputation will subside quickly though.

As funny as this might seem, he needs to be better than most in this regard before people really see him differently, in my opinion and based on what I witnessed with Ronaldo.

To answer your question - don't we all know? We know when a player's faking it... their pain suddenly disappearing is a good indicator, as is sneaky looks to the referee for a decision.
