James Traynor following the money

he'll be right at home.

"All the clubs were squealing that the wishes of fans had to be granted. If you swallowed any of that bilge you probably also believed in sporting integrity.
Of course it was all nonsense. Sporting Integrity was a cloak of convenience, albeit a rather thin, practically transparent one, behind which club leaders huddled together to come up with sanctions"

I hope he sits on your face and farts, more of a smell coming from the man mouth, occupational hazard from licking Yorkshire mans bottoms.

Over the years I have watched Mr Traynor's career slowly deteriorate.
At it's height, Mr Traynor at The Herald..serious Journalist, great newspaper. The low point, headline grabbing, petty nonsense at The Daily Record.

His appearances on TV and Radio became more and more cringe worthy...the highlight being an on-air spat with chirpy chappy Chic Young!

Oh and that phone-in show? Just Awful. Once Jim had gone, the BBC immediately replaced it with Kenny McIntyre plus contributors...much better!

Jim wants to be Graham Spiers but doesn't have the talent or insight.
Now this Airdrionian is at Ibrox as director of communications?

As a non old firm football supporter, I’m just glad I won’t have to listen to his self important rubbish anymore!

Thank you Charles...you're welcome to him.

He has more talent in his little finger than the bumbling silly wee man.

Go on compare careers.

Top sport Journo at the Herald
Went to the record as a sports editor and far larger circulation
Given prime slot by the BBC on Radio Scotland
takes Head of media with Scotlands best supported club.

With each move he would have seen significant financial benefit

Now what of the bumbling one
Started as a decent journo
Was removed from the printed Herald and moved down to only online blogs
Talk golf on the BBC at some unearthly hour
Still no full time media position.
During this period he has seen his income fall.

Hi Duke, I seriously can't find anyone who thinks that Jim is the better journalist?

Cliff Richard has made more money than Coleman Hawkins...but we all know who the better musician was?

As far as radio goes, Jim Traynor is like a poor man's Jimmy Sandieson...but maybe not that good!

He's gone now anyway....

And I cant find anyone who still thinks Spiers has any credibility ALL would say Traynor is a FAR better journo

As far as the radio is concerned you may be correct though Im sure Jim would prefer the fact that the BBC thought he was prime time and Spiers was some early morning Sunday spot.
