I'm going to nominate Leigh Griffiths as the biggest ned in Scottish football.
Not only has he fathered no less than 4 children to 4 different women - despite not being in a relationship with any of these women and with 2 of those kids being born just a couple of weeks apart - but he's also in bother almost every week for one reason or another, all because he's a complete idiot.
He has however topped the lot with his latest outburst on twitter.
When given abuse by a user called Zak Iqbal, Griffiths told him to go "back to your own country".
That'll be him done for racist abuse then.
His parent club Wolves are raging, to say the least.

Is there a bigger ned in Scottish football than Griffiths?

First and foremost it's against the law. Anybody who would say something like that on twitter or indeed would say things like that in the street are idiots, especially someone who is in the public eye.
Although both are abuse the severity of the "crimes" are different - society can accept someone saying that somebody else is ugly however we as a society don't accept racist abuse. And rightly so. Telling someone to "go home" just because they have an exotic sounding name is unacceptable and hints at deep lying racist attitudes.
Again, I don't agree with trolling but to retalliate with racism is unacceptable.

It's not against the law though. The head of public prosecutions said in October that it's not an offense for one off comments no matter how offensive. They serving the process of drawing up new guidelines to echo this. Only libelous or prolonged campaigns of abuse will be targeted by the police. Some people need to be less offended by everything

Is it socially acceptable for entire sections of the crowd to sing that Wenger is a paedophile?

I agree that people can say things in the heat of the moment that they don't mean - I'm sure it's very easy in the middle of a heated argument to say something that is construed as being racist even though that person isn't fundamentally racist.
However, this wasn't in the heat of the moment. This was on twitter. A person said he was ugly. He had time to read it, think about it, consider his response and then send it. This was a thought out response, and he still thought it appropriate to send a racist tweet to this individual.
In the eyes of any court that is an offence. In the eyes of my employers that would be a sackable offence.
What he did is wrong, it is unlawful, and he should be prosecuted.

Lol, it's just my opinion. I personally am not offended by anything. I don't see the police trying to crack down on the crowd chanting about Wenger though. Double standards, in my opinion it's worse than most of the stuff you hear.
