We've looked better full stop under Bowyer, and the frustrating thing is we would under any half-competent manager.

Kean took 14 points from 7 games.
Black 9 points from 6.
Bowyer 7 points from 3.

The only reason we're not challenging for automatic promotion right now is Berg. This squad is easily good enough if it can get that many points per game for the above 3 managers. Unfortunately I suspect the club have just hired another Berg in Appleton.

Didn't really notice any dramatic increase in fitness levels but I have noticed how easily our 4 man midfield of 2 centre mids and 2 wingers gets overrun. I think we need to look at some different formations that 4-4-2/4-4-1-1.

Thats probably the greatest praise he has ever received!

Haha I know, felt a bit dirty even typing the words. But I don't see any other way to look at his record in this division. As a premiership manager he was diabolical, but I think its possible that 18 months of managerial experience and moving down to an easier level combined to make him at least an average Championship manager. We'll have to see if and when he ever gets another job.

Still a c*** though.
