Devilishly good song, it's only a bit of fun after all. On a more serious note though I thought it was interesting that Knight and Cahill got the whole 90 with Wheater being the only unused outfield sub. Is this a sign of Coyle realising we've got Gary for another season?..

That was the "devilish" part. I understand that it's tragic that someone was killed in the accident involving Marcos but I'm sure nothing malicious was meant by the song and many involved weren't, let's say, in their right minds and were just having a bit of drunken fun.

I agree with Vera on this one. Alonso probably feels terrible about the accident and probably doesn't want to be reminded of it, especially whilst trying to fight for a place in the team.

On to the match, all round, good display. Gardner doesn't look like he has it any more, seem slow and lethargic, even in the warm up and ended up hitting the ball out of the ground. Alonso was quite ineffective on the wing.

All the new signings looked good, with Eagles looking like a good attacker sitting just behind the striker, a tactic that could be used when we get a new striker? although I didn't see that much of Mears.

Mavies looked dangerous when he attacked as did Petrov who came close a few times and showed some good ball skills.
