True insight into how Levy does business

Now that Harry is no longer at Spurs he is not afraid to let slip how our chairman does his business. It was interesting to read in his column on saturday how he thinks Mr Levy operates. He implied he likes nothing more than sniffing around on the last day of the transfer window trying to get a great deal. Now all Spurs fans are aware this is the case but I for one am baffled as to why he does this. I can understand he is trying to save the club some money but time after time this backfires. The most recent case being Moutinho who we tried to land in the summer - this deal got left to pretty much the last hour and simply ran out of time. Crazy when you think we had all summer to sort it out. So why oh why don't we try to get our business done earlier so we have the rest of January with a strong squad.

we r, he clearly dosen't want to go galatasaray and is waiting for a club from england. Liverpool have already ruled out signing him so that leaves us.......last min levy VDV type special

do we need him though Don..

Oh yes we r, if any person turns their noses up at Wesley Sneijder coming to spurs then they are f cuking mad!!! He could play just behind the striker like a VDV role and would be a superb option if this is the levy type signing we know he likes. Last minute deal written all over it.

WELCOME TO TOTTENHAM SNEIJDER

wages will be an issue though mate but if Sneijder really is desperate to move and looks like he has rejected a big money offer from turkey then football is clearly his main goal at the moment rather than money, let's see what happens but don't be suprised to see another..."breaking news at spurs "....

"Not sure about you guys but this has got Lat minute levy deal written all over it."

That is why Sneijder is in the RDBD "at least we tried" list.

Out of interest don, would you be happy with that as a last minute deal. I thought your big issue was that we are playing a month with one striker. Getting sneijder of the last day isn't solving that. But bearing in mind the quality of the player, would you he happy with that as the only other signing?

Chronic, i can't stand all this last minute deal bollo ks to be fair and feel it's a huge risk but if it means getting in someone that will improve the side which sneijer will then i'm all for it. I want a striker but at the same time could see the logic in getting sneijder in AVB's prefered formation of 4-3-3. I would be happy with a decent signing chronic and sneijder is world class so yes i would be happy

Firstly if we have half a chance of signing Sneijder then we should grab it with both hands, he would have been the difference on Saturday ay QPR........................

Secondly Levy does like to play brinkmanship, he is probably very good at poker......................first one to blink loses.

If it is Mouthino then we know that is a complicated one & that is why it drags on.
The same might apply to Damaio & Willen..............

Of course he might just think that lightning will not strike twice two years running & that we will win more games over the next 3 months than last year!!
