I see. Yeah that's true. La Liga is really competitive outside of Barca and then the Madrid sides. The 4th spot could go to a number of teams as could the Europa spots.
People say La Liga is predictable, other than the top two it is far from that.

Team in 2nd 11 points off the lead and team in 3rd already 18pts off after a mere 19 games... and they say that la liga is more than a glorified SPL with sun tans
Looking at the bottom of the tables given the points tally comparisons, you could argue that there is less of a gulf between top 10 v bottom 10 because the bottom la liga teams already have more/equal points after 3 fewer games. Suggests to me that below 5th in la liga is pretty much a similar level. Their 4th place team are already 21 off the leader... Looks like a league wth a couple of exceptional teams and not much to separate the rest. Can't imagine there are many upsets... 55 points after 19 games?

To be fair I reckon Barca would be on a similar points tally whatever the League they played, they're on another level this season (minus slipping up against the mighty Celtic )

City are 7 points off of first and Chelsea are 14 point off of first. 4 points isn't a huge difference.
Madrid have been shît this season and Barca exceptional. How much better than the rest Barca are doen't reflect how good the other teams are because they'd be doing the same thing in any league.
Gotta give respect to Atletico for what they've done this season. Hope they finish second.

Will be interesting to know if it's Diego Simeone making the difference, could be another young manager with a big future.

4 point allows the team above 2 slip ups.. It's a huge difference. Barca could lose 3 games on the bounce and still be top of the table.. they could lose 6 games on the bounce and Real (in 3rd!!!) would still need maximum point just to draw level!

It's not that much though between City and Chelsea and Atletico and Real. Especially given this idea about it being a cràp league.
Barca have been so good this season that rather than being shocked by how far behind every one is I think it's more staggering how far in front they are. Credit where credit is due. To be that far in front of some very good teams is impressive.
Green, it's probably Falcao making the difference.... In serious though, from what I know of him he's a good young manager. Did good things with Estudiantes as well. I just don't wanna give him much credit because he's a
