would it make since to get rid of the lions series and hold the rugby world cup every 2 years? the lions seems pointless even if the lions win the series this year will anyone care?

If there could be one change with the Lions, i'd like to see australia taken off the calender, and more tours to south africa and new zealand.
the 2009 series in south africa was some of the best sport ive ever seen.

The problem with the lions tour is they now don't get enough prep time in the host country prior to the test matches so they're at a massive disadvatage. That said, it is still one of the most intense sporting occasions in the calendar and long may it continue. I went in 2001 and the atnosphere was as good as any i've experienced.
