Now that James McFadden is a free agent, could he be the "big signing" that Derby County fans want to see?
He is a good finisher, is quick, and strong on the ball. I can't imagine his wages are going to be ridiculous and I think he'd look great up top, flanked by Ward and Tyson/Cwyka.
Plus, there's added bonus of his compatriots Maguire and Bryson, alongside Pearson and Anderson.
Could he be the goal-threat we're after?

Be a good signing but i really cannot see us signing anymore perms with maybe the exception of riggot.
The only place we will be dipping into now is the loan market

Would be a really good signing.
Can't see it happening though, unfortunately!

Not being funny but isn't Tyson supposed to be your goal threat?

It seem NC is still experimenting with his options

Nah, I would've thought Tyson will score less than Davis and Maguire. Despite all the big talk about him playing centre forward, I expect to see him drifting wide regularly, if not starting from the left of a 3 pronged attack.
McFadden is nowhere near the player he was a few years ago but would add depth.

TEG - Tyson has been brought in more as a threat to Row Z - it's about time those lazy non-singers got a ball in the face to wake them up a bit.

I must admit, when I was sat with my Dad watching the Barnsley game last season, (He's 79 today, by the way - Happy Birthday Mojacardad!) - and he shouted some encouragement, there were several around us who looked at him like he'd gone daft. I was only to happy to be at a game and shout my head off, I don't know why people go to sit in silence. I even scream at the computer when we're on!
