Did anybody really expect Fawaz to stay in Kuwait and transfer large amounts of cash to the old regime for them to continue to run the club as poorly as it has been for over the last decade.
It is good business sense to have a transition period before you bring the sword down, assess things, sort the wheat from the chaff etc etc etc.
It was always on the cards

As much as I feel sorry for Frank, what exactly did he do? Seems a logical money saving step to sever our ties with him, if he had no purpose.
I don't want us to turn into teams like Birmingham who pay people for the sake of paying them (i.e. the mysterious un-named Director who received a salary of about £500k).
Our owners are ruthless business men who have built a small corner shop into a multi-billion dollar global business .. I really can't see them spending money on a role that has no purpose!

Frank Clark leaving makes perfect sense. The place is a shambles and he doesn't have to bite his lip and kow-tow to the new overlords. Arthur wasn't sacked he left in protest at yesterday's classless antics.

So let me get this straight guys ... If you took over an organisation that had not been performing effectively for many many years, would you want to make changes, or would you simply plod along and not make changes in case a few people got upset.
Clueless.

exactly hoons
You'd give it 6 months and see what areas need changing.
Marthur is based in London with other interests : Fact
If we need someone in that position it needs a full time committment

"You'd give it 6 months and see what areas need changing"
They didn't do that, though Webbo. They sacked the manager immediately, then sacked the new one.
And the recent sackings:
"Nottingham Forest’s head of player recruitment, Keith Burt, was put on gardening leave yesterday after his wife phoned him in the middle of a scouts’ meeting to tell him he was being suspended from his job. Forest had sent a letter recorded delivery, to their chief scout’s house and his wife signed for it before phoning her husband to tell him about the missive. Burt asked her to reveal its contents, and was told the news in front of his colleagues."
Classy. Tell me honestly, is this REALLY how you want your club to be run?
And Mr Farouk al Zanki, Arthur's replacement. Experienced in the English game, is he? Lots of contacts and that? Thought not.
Rose-tint it all you like, lads, retort with comments about Derby's owners (I will probably agree with you) but it's a funny way to run a club, and no mistake.

Well the team came first.
Sod appointed as he was the best available. Got us into a good position. Yes, I was shocked when he was replaced. But I have no worries if they think AM is the man.
The 6 months side of things is associated with deadwood, backroom staff not required etc.
Oh and it's not my club to run..... but it seems that from day one this is how they do things.
I don't work for him and in a way, glad I don't.
However, the compensation these guys will be getting will more than satisfy the fact that he had a letter delivered to his house.
Look at it this way. When they came to the club, I would think all the staff would have been told that there will be changes. I've been through that in the past and I had my letter of pending redundancy with notice sent by mail.
Nothing new or against the law in that.
No.. let them get on with the job I say

Why does Fawaz want a football club?
Forest do not make a profit, in fact with the players wages at your club now, along with the dwindling attendance, you are making more of a loss than when you where under ND.
So what is the incentive, is it purely a show of wealth to save face in the Arabic way.
You can imagine the conversation:
Fawaz, "Oi, Mansour lad, got me a nice camel today, nicest one in the whole of Arabia."
Sheikh Mansour, "Where have you been Fawaz you dinosaur, if you ain't got a football club you just ain't."
Fawaz, "That right?"
Fawaz goes looking for a football club but something got messed up in translation and ended up with Forest.
