Looks like it's on.
Bet Zaha is looking a bit envious.
I say good luck to the lad, he's an incredibly good prospect but I expect him to fulfill a career as a left sided full back/winger.
Hope we get a decent price for him too.

Jeff Schlupp to United

Here is what I found...
He is a left-winger who is just 20-years-old.
He is Ghanaian and already has one international cap to his name. He also is half-German, being born in Hamburg, and requires no work permit.
Schlupp's agent is former Leeds United legend Tony Yeboah.
He was handed his Leicester debut by Sven Goran Eriksson in 2011 at just 18-years-old.
He has played 9 games for Leicester this season, and scored six times in 26 games for the Foxes in 2011/12, which included a League Cup hat-trick against Rotherham.
Before that he spent time on loan with Brentford where he scored six goals in nine games.

He also seems to get injured a lot from what I read...

From a foxes fan. He burst onto the scene under Sven, as a striker looked very promising and even scored a few goals. Quick and strong, and compared by many of our fans to a young heskey (take that how you want it) but he's never really been given the chance in his preferred position by Pearson, who seems to utilise him as a spare left back. I really rated him, and believe he's got a lot of potential. But could this be a scare tactic to get zaha to sign? With the greatest of respects to our own player. Or maybe SAF has seen something he likes in the guy! Who knows! If he goes, I'm sure all foxes fans will want him to play at the very top, and I for one will wish him all the luck in the world!!! As long as u let us keep keane and send us a few others like James drinkwater and de laet 😜

I think he's a great prospect. Im not sure if hes Man United standards but I suppose there is no harm in him going for a trial given the decent relationship the clubs seem to have currently. He hasn't played much as Pearson prefers experience so has gone with Konchesky at LB who also has a height advantage for corners etc.

I would prefer Luke Shaw from Southampton.

Im quite suprised at this. Schlupp is a very promising player, particularly at left back, where Id say he does provide some fierce competition for Konchesky. Unfortunately for him, Konchesky is rarely injured or out of form, hence the lack of game time. However, Id probably say right now, hes a player who could potentially make it to a mid-table / lower prem side, nothing more than that.
Whether SAF can see something in him which we cant I dont know, but I am suprised at this.

This has left us scratching our heads a bit: The official line is that he's a striker who can fill in at left back but can't get into our team in either position. He's a young prospect, probably not getting the games he needs to improve his game; he's fast and is decent enough on the ball, but lacks experience around the pitch and hasn't really looked up to speed with the Championship when played up front.
That Man Utd seem to be after him is surprising and it's as if someone's jokingly replaced Zaha's name with his.
