Amidst all the January Sales speculation we mustn't forget that we have a game scheduled tomorrow (note the word 'scheduled'!). If it goes ahead:
1 We need to win...with four away games to follow 3 points is really needed to keep us in contention over the next couple of weeks
2 We'll need to get the orange ball out (possibly both)
I saw the game at the Greenhous Meadow earlier in the season where we deserved our win and James Collins got a lot of expected stick from the home fans. It would be nice to see him score (for us, obviously).
I'm not optimistic about the game going ahead but then I live 150 miles to the north so what do I know! I'd be glad of any updates.

On Hollands injury, and he was supported as he limped off, surprised a stretcher wasn't used, Canioman was quite tight lipped in the post match interview. It looked bad to me but its easy to get the wrong impression. Canio said Hollands was being X rayed as he spoke but I think they will have to wait for the swelling to go down before they can see exactly what is going on. Massive shame to loose him just as he had gelled well into the team.

One thing I would add. It seems as if this is a taboo subject, but I don't think Ritchie is anywhere near his vibrant best. Now many will not hear a bad word for the guy. These are not bad words, but, I think he needs a rest. Going back to what I have said before I would put Williams in his place as a wide right man and he plays excellently in this position with lovely sweeping in-balls into the area, and put RDV up front who is a natural forward and has an eye for goal. I think that would do very well thankyou.

Thanks for your contributions SF...excellent as always.
Brilliant team effort involving so many people from start to finish, what a wonderful spirit on display for anyone who might be watching.

Great by everybody yesterday.
SF, I agree about Ritchie. I'd use him as sub for a few games. Bring him on with 15 mins to go.
Now, this lousy site doesn't allow me to track back & see what I wanted to comment on!

Good assessment on the game SF, i agree with pretty much everything you said there. Roberts had a good game, took on his man and more often than not, beat him with ease.
Ritchie had a quiet game, but we need to remember he is a different type of player to Roberts. He is no nonsense, he gets the ball and puts it in the box early. When it doesn't pay off, his performances will look average. He tried to get involved later in the game with a few speculative long shots, and as somebody behind me quite rightly pointed out, he is probably the only player who can get away with it, because he's the only one we have with enough quality to score from such a ridiculous range.
I thought Macca did a fine job at left back considering it's not his natural position, and Thompson impressed me all game. The penalty we gave away was silly though.
One thing i got frustrated with in the first half was the amount of long balls we played when we kept giving the ball back to Foderingham. They pressed us well, but i would have thought one of our defenders would have given him an option so we could play out from the back. Luckily for us, Williams and Martin had a good game in terms of hold up play and winning headers.
2-0 was probably a fair result, and it could have been more if our final ball had been better. A few times we broke away with the likes of Ferry but didn't pick the right option.
Finally i thought Ward and Flint were immense and dominated everything yesterday. Really glad we didn't sell him to Bradford as he is a crucial squad player for us.

I'm sat directly opposite in the DR. Half way up and about half way along, more or less on the centre line of the pitch row N.
