Adkins is a good manager, but even great managers need decent financial backing in terms of wages and transfers from their board If they're going to succeed in top half of the table and Adkins certainly got that at Southampton. He wouldn't get that at this club unfortunately.

Adkins did a good job at Southampton, but he was also backed by his board, who allowed him to sign quality players at the right times, when they were most needed... That simply doesn't happen at this club we can't compete in the same market when it comes to wages or transfer fees.

Adkins wouldn't stand for all this waiting til the end of the transfer window for dregs on loan nonsense that goes on at leeds season after season.
