Thanks for the feed back on Bennett. The Boro game was the first time I had seen him play or should I say not play this season. After that game I thought perhaps Deano had him concentrating on defensive work of which he just hasn't got it.
His talent is still there and I think Flynn will bring it out.
I am very pleased to have predicted that our home form would improve under Flynn and reading the comments everyone, thats everyone, can see it.

I am as disappointed as anyone, including himself no doubt, about Kyle Bennett's failure to turn into Lionel Messi this season. Something must be done! What I have seen is an immensely talented young player who has worked his socks off up and down the left flank this season - home and away. I have seen flashes of brilliance and opposing defenders trying to crowd him out. Successive manager keep playing him as he is worth his place and he has the potential to turn any game. Patience!

Bally,
I was parked not far from JR at Stevenage and his car was a huge white 4*4 Merc and I wondered at the time had he given his Bentley to Bennett? I think not!
It must be a coincidence but that was the time when JR made that promise, or the removal of it Bennett's performance went down hill.

Very interested to hear in his post match interview on radio Sheff,Flynn said that if Hume was fit yesterday that he would have played the same starting 11 that played in the Stevenage game.See what he does next game.

With Hume in the team is it Bennett or Copps? I'd favour Copps; Bennett was missing for a lot of the game at Stevenage and he did not make much of an impression on me at Portsmouth or Swindon. BF implied that No 26 started simply because Hume was injured.

On the Hume thing, i am a big believer in the player in possession of the shirt keeping it if he plays well and isnt injured of course.
There has to be an incentive to keep putting in the effort and contributing to the team.
Of course sometimes a manager will change a team to suit the opposition and that means a player is left out after a good performance but these days it is more than a regular eleven players with five or six reserves hoping for a rare start.
Dont forget that Paynter is now available again and he was coming into his best form up to the stupid red card against the Blunts.
If Hume had been fit yesterday i would have been suprised if Bennett had started ahead of Coppinger but we will never know i suppose.
On the Bennett lack of recent form, my opinion is that he is lacking in confidence when going forward.
I regularly hear him being cat-called from the stands and i am sure that if he hears it it will put him off doing some of his tricks etc in case it doesnt come off.
He is improving defensively which is also important in the modern game but i would expect him to come good again before long.
As for Coppinger playing just off Brown or Paynter, well it was suggested to me a couple of seasons ago that it would probably be his best position and yesterday seemed to back that up.
He also linked up well with Cotterill and the pair of them ripped the left side of the Orient defence to pieces at times.
