Giroud is a league 2 level french player. If Wenger was not a manager of a top team he would NEVER be playing anywhere close to this level.

When he first arrived a commentator compared him to Grant Holt. I did not realise at the time just how badly that commentator was insulting Grant Holt.

I haven't changed my tune at all. Giroud is very average. Yao Kouassi is just plain shít.

Giroud has his moments when he looks good, but is extremely unreliable in front of goal. As an all round player. he's actually quite good but we need a reliable finisher in this team. He's nowhere near as good as RVP, and I think that's why so many are so angry. He's still better than people are making out, though, and infinitely better than Gervinho.

As i said Giroud is VERY reliable. When a big chance arrives i KNOW for sure he is going to miss it.

The problem with Girould is that he is not at all clinical in front of goal, he holds the ball up well but in front of goal he is more miss than hit - and that won't do for a centre-forward

Gervinho can beat people for fun but is totally profligate with his final ball - at 25 I don't see it changing.

We shouldn't have bought either of these guys.
