Anyone still wanna give Arshavin a chance?

I know he's got cult status with some people and on his day (which seems a lifetime ago) could be a matchwinner.

But seeing him come on yesterday, he cut a tragic figure!

His haircut alone was worthy of a prison sentence, but the shape he is in is outrageous. A professional player, who is incidentally one of the highest earners at Arsenal, should not be overweight.

Granted he's out of favour and that's not confidence inspiring, but he's turned down moves (because, very understandably nobody will get anywhere near matching the wage he's on at Arsenal) and he's of zero use to man or beast.

Tragic that a player who has such ability physically looks past caring!!!

Squillaci is another one who'd rather sit around, making do with just a couple of run outs with the U21s this season, than actually trying to achieve something during the increasingly limited time he has left as a professional footballer.

This is where I think football players are clueless!
Surely if he did accept a loan deal somewhere for 6 months, he'd be a better position to negociate a better deal for himself at his future club.

But instead, he'd rather collect high wages for 6 months and then taking the risk of not finding a club after!

Is that for sure? Then I'd imagine he'll run it down and the club obviously won't renew it. One thing's for sure, he'll be looking at a fraction of what he's on now at another club.

Yep. Him and Squillaci's contracts both up in the summer. Can't come soon enough really.

arshavin is a broken human being. after he kicked the ball for a goal kick you a can see it in his face.

Arshavin shouldn't be in anybody's plans.

I'd be far more confident with Eisfeld on the bench.

he seperated from his wife and he is sad in his personal life so he is not interested in football

He looked in terrible physical shape yesterday, but before that he has looked slim and pretty good for a 31 year old (or is he 32??). Obviously he has given up and there is no reason for him to perform, even on the back of the limited appearances he has made this season, he remained on the bench the next game or even got dropped from the squad all together. Wenger has ruined him and I can see the same happening to Podolski.

wenger has frozen him out of playing time not because of his current form or ability. he has punitively punishedd arshavin for undisclosed personal reasons which is totally unprofessional behaviour by a manager. arshavin should be in our best 11.
