Anyone else a little worried....?

Here we are reaching the fourth week of January and no new signings. Is there really a pot of money for AM to spend on new players?

It doesn't seem that clear cut now. AM saying he needs four or five players but he hasn't sat down with the owners to finalise anything.

We apparently had a bid for Burke turned down and a bid for Boyd as well. I don't necessarily think we should pay over the odds for players but I think we should be making attractive offers to save wasting time.

Is AM telling all that he needs four or five so the owners can read it? Echoes of BD's chants of more players needed?

Yes the owners have stumped up money on players but has it actually been that much, it terms of what is required. We must of had money from the two lads that went to Reading.

As much as the Window Closing day is exciting I don't want to be glued to Sky Sports still waiting for the first January signing.

There is plenty of time.
If you listen to the rumours, it looks like that Chris Burke deal could be back on - a good signing IMO if it comes off. There is also a lot of talk about Darius Henderson as well ...and George Boyd (I'm not sure these are needed as much). As usual, announcements expected imminently..! What I think we need at the moment is a real quality left-back (although I though Halford did a great job there the other day)

Three players in. Ward back on loan and Jaras. I really don't get excited or attached to loan signings. Billy Sharp wears our badge with pride but until he signs for us he's not a Forest player. Love him but can't get attached to him. Ever since Huckerby came on loan but never signed I vowed to not to see them as Forest players. No matter how much they gave.

I'm not convince that the Kuwaiti keeper will meet the required standard if we're pushing for Premiership football.

Anyone know how the young Irish winger is settling in? Will we see him this season?

We got money for Gunter but McCLeary went on a free. My only concern about our recent transfer activity, we do not seem to be able to attract decent players who could do a job for us if we were lucky enough to get promoted. Boyd and Burke are okay but would have liked to seen us pinch some fringe players from EPL teams as a real sign of intent

Burke should be done this week according to John Percy

We've had bids turned down, but just remember that for the first half of this transfer window we had MA at the helm of haggling the costs. 'Derisory bid' has been almost a catchphrase when looking at his work.

That and most transfers take place in the last week or so anyways. Birmingham will get desperate with how ends are and will eventually give in for a sum for burke, and rumours are many of them are in the pipe line.

We've picking up form, so even if only one or two come through i think that'll still be enough to get us into the playoffs.

Not really, this window never seems to see much action until right near the end unless, like Leicester with Wood, agreements are pretty much made beforehand. Also players are waiting to see where the best offer comes from, remember Nicky Shorey - he was virtually a Forest player and then he got the offer of Premiership football.
I know we don't know how much we will have to spend but again I think this is a good thing, if Fawaz came out and said we have, say, £10 million to spend then prices would go up overnight.

After the Posh game McLeish said that a number of 'seeds had been sown' but did warn that typically, negotiatiins were likely to drag on right up until the end of the window.

Not too worried; yet....

Clubs will wait until the end of the window to get the best price. McLeish and journos have been saying we'll have the wait. Nothing to worry about

The snow hasn't helped - a number of flights into Heathrow have been cancelled. Hopefully the flight from Kuwait City will be able to land before the window shuts.
