Ramires in World XI

According to L'Equipe

Justified?

Maybe not, though I think he has a strong case. Stronger than Ramos, Alonso or Casillas anyhow.

To be fair, his performances at the end of last season, against Napoli, Benfica, Barcelona and Liverpool were fantastic. Not consistent enough to be in that team though.

Maybe they meant southamptons one...

If they base it on highlights or high profile matches his chipped goal away to Barcelona would've won him a lot of votes

Agree with this comment word for word, deserves it.

Ramires is there because he was incredible in the Champions League - was brilliant in stopping Maggio against Napoli and setting up Drogba's goal and having a hand in Ivanovic's winner. He had a huge hand in Kalou's winner at Benfica as well as stopping Nico Gaitan, and his two displays against Barcelona were top class - the assist for Drogba, and the amazing goal above.
