Semi Final 2nd leg from Villa Park.

A welcome distraction for many is tonight's all or nothing cup tie, Which could see Local side Bradford City make the Final at Wembley.
They are in a very good position to do so after a 3-1 home win in the 1st leg.

This was not a fluke however !
Duke. The City keepers miraculous performance aside, This was the 3rd fixture in this comp that Bradford have beaten Premiership opponents !
Wigan & Arsenal..then Villa in the 1st leg.
All this from a team reputed to have been put together for the sum of less than 10 thousand pounds. Who are members of the 2 division .

Phil Parkinson went against 'convention' When Villa scored late on in that 1st leg, by urging his team forward rather than sitting on a 1 goal advantage.
It paid off, The final score of 3-1 was well deserved, with the last few minutes having Villa under constant pressure & defending corner after corner.

Villa will be under pressure from the off in this game..
The home crowd will be demanding a Final appearance against either Swansea or Chelsea, much may depend on Duke yet again to keep the Villa scoreless..But Bradford did play well as a team, & a 2 goal advantage might well see them victors over the two legs.

The Bantams are in the double tier North Stand & have sold all their allocation, which will be around the 6,000 mark.
Villa fans are to receive a 'flag' at the turnstile !!

Who are we, as West Yorkies going for tonight ?
I know a good few Hudders fans will be hoping to see Villa in the final ..
I assume some Leeds fans will feel the same, But.
I reckon the vast majority of us neutrals will be cheering on the Bantams from the 2nd division to vanquish the Premier league 'Big Boys'.

It does have that David & Goliath ring to it.

in reality, He has had a full 90 minutes to have a look at Bradford & 'suss them out', That quite often happens over 2 leg ties..the lower team do well, but end up being exposed for what they are...a lower team that have 'done well' nothing more, But those previous 'scalps' from the prem league confirm this Bantams side could very well knock Villa out of the comp too.
