So it looks increasingly likely that these two will be signing for us soon! For me personally, both are great signings.
Boyd has of course donned the garibaldi previously, but unfortunately had the poison dwarf to contend with which seriously limited his time on the pitch, but when he did play, he looked good, and scored goals. I'm not saying he'd walk into the team, but he provides an attacking intent which we sometimes lack, and would hopefully fit in well with the midfield options we currently have.
Burke would be an awesome signing. He's ripped our problem left back position to shreds on several occasions, and if he can get back to the form he showed at Cardiff, could well be the missing jigsaw piece to our slightly unbalanced lineup.
So to summarise, hopefully they'll both walk through the City Ground doors sometime soon, which leaves us with just the problem Left Back position to permanently fill.

Billy Davies again, brilliant.
I'd hoped SOD had replaced him as average manager we must bang on and on about. It seems not.
Good signings I think. Burkes always looked good when I've seen him, Brums best player last season. Boyd's got a lot of talent, gets goals. I'd be happy with both.

Don't like Boyd sutton. Doubt he'd want to come back as well. I know the place has changed since then and BD didn't rate him as a stella signing but I do feel he'd be a bad egg if things didn't go right.
Burke needs to dump Brum and get over here.
I see we are in for Alonso from Bolton. Ex Real Madrid left back 22 yo... Can't say I've seen much of him but he cost Bolton over 2M and could cost us 200K (a bargin worth trying)

Boyd a bad egg!
clearly know nothing about his attitude and commitment to the cause, had six years at posh and never been a spot of bother, has never let any transfer talk affect his attitude or work rate.
He is capable of producing that bit of effortless magic that changes games......

I'm not really sure why so many Forest fans are against the idea of us signing Boyd. But they are.
He's obviously got talent and posh fans say he always gives 100% yet a lot of Forest fans view him as lazy.

I saw nothing that would change my mind. Bad egg may be the wrong term. I just don't think he will fit in here. He is Posh through and through and should stick with them.

I don't mind either, they're both good players at this level and worth a punt to get us into the play-offs. I don't think Boyd is a bad egg but is very much the type of player you have to suit your style to play with. Mind you I'd include Reid in that category too, undoubtedly quality but has bad points as well as good.

BBC WM is reporting that Nottingham Forest have made a second bid for Birmingham City winger Chris Burke. The Reds had previously had an offer of £300,000 turned down, and though the exact figure of the new bid hasn't been revealed, the Blues say it's being considered.

We have refused to bid any higher, after a second bid for Burke (500k) got rejected by Birmingham.
I kind of agree with this; not paying over the odds for a player who is out of contract in the summer.
Brum are being a bit daft, they need the wanga.
