Barkley Out of Cup !

Ross Barkley has been denied permission to play in Leeds United’s FA Cup clash with Spurs – but the Elland Road club are not ruling out the possibility of fielding him.

The on-loan winger is set to miss Sunday’s tie, with Everton unwilling to see him cup-tied ahead of his scheduled return to Goodison Park next month.

But Everton play Bolton in the competition’s fourth round on Saturday afternoon and Neil Warnock said: “We’re looking into whether he could play if Everton lose."

Give it a rest Warnock .............bad when our best player is a loanee here for four weeks !!!!

Seems logical! Why not play him if he can? That's why he's here isn't it?

You might not like loans but they are here to stay in the lower leagues. It's the only way many teams can get in good players.

If they scrapped the loan system it would be very interesting to see what would happen.

Everton's stance is a pretty clear signal that his loan deal won't be extended - pity.

I would hope that NW is planning a clear game strategy on how to counter the various Spurs attacking threats. Don't think introducing uncertainty about who will/won't be playing is a good idea.

I think he will be hoping the crowd lift the team but lets face it - Spurs should stuff us.

Bradford City showed us the way last night though - miracles do happen in football from time to time

to counter that, Everton's stance is pretty clear to me.....

Once they allow an extension they can put a recall clause in and if they get injuries and need BArkley back they don't want him cup tied and NW is willing to see if they drop out of the cup meaning it wouldn't matter.

Why is everyone still finding the negative aspect ffs?

Leeds - some on here can only see the negatives. I've come to accept it on the board now.

They wanted Grayson out and were more than happy when NW was appointed. Now they want him out.

They wanted Bates to sell - he has and they expect GFH to turn things around in ten minutes.

Some still think that Bates owns 50% of the club or is at least in cahoots with GFH.

Happy Days
