out of town fans

in response to some comments about Everton fans who aren't scousers being inferior Evertonians, i wanted to see what other Evertonians on here think about the dismissive attitude of some on here to people who support the same club as they do. as an out of town season ticket holder, i find this attitude highly offensive. that said, i have never seen this attitude at games, so i'm left to wonder if the idiots who badmouth non-Scouse Evertonians even go to games.

btw, any unrelated youtube or other links will be deleted.

Phew. If ST went up at the rate petrol does I would have to give up my holiday let in Tuscany.

Money is nothing when you know your support is keeping away the administrators.

In that case, why dont you buy an extra ST.
You would be supporting the club and you could bring a famous yorkshire person each week.
Who would be your first guest?

I hav a suggestion,if your interested of course.

Well I wouldn't say 'famous'. Legendary perhaps. I'll meet you just outside Liverpool PJS. Angel of The North ok?

Not surprisingly, there are some who believe that if you don't come from, or live in Liverpool, you can't be a real Evertonian. Fortunately, they're the ignorant minority.

Although maybe they should set up a 'group' to monitor us out-of-towners, sorry, out-of-cityers. Maybe we should wear a badge so those 'real' Evertonians can tell us apart and decide whether to allow us into 'their' club.

Maybe, we should be forced to buy new replica shirts for each game, but instead of having a normal number on the back, our number has to display how much money we've spent, or how many ST we've bought, or how many home games we've been to, away games, European games... just so that the 'real' Evertonians may one day accept us.

These ‘real’ fans are probably some of the same lot who speak so vehemently against the Board. Surely if you're not 100% against the board then you're not a 'real' Evertonian', you clearly can't have the best interests of the club in mind! What about the Evertonians the lads met in Philadelphia or Washington? They’re miles away. What do they know or care about Everton eh?

So desperate is this (minority) bunch to 'win' an internet forum debate on the club's situation, they'll question your roots to try and prove you don't have the right to an opinion.

I think the lads who do travel from outside the city are just as much real fans as the ones from Liverpool. The beauts who peddle this "if your not scouse your not really an evertonion" are the same people who would have you believe that no locals support Liverpool! I'm one of the none scouse kopites, who travel all the way from the Wirral. Yet I'm considered a glory hunter by some blue noses! If your from norway, Ireland, Wales or timbuck two what does it matter!

I'm from the south east of England and I am Everton through and through. I have supported them my whole life and follow them religiously. I spend about 6 hours a day doing things related to the club. Everton forums, Everton videos, Everton News even playing as Everton on FIFA. I Don't get up to many games because of work commitments. But I would say I'm a proper fan and any other Evertonians I've met where I live are also very passionate about the club and where the shirt whenever possible.

Unfortunately I know a lot of Liverpool fans, but they aren't proper fans. Just say they support them and watch them occasionally. I think Liverpools fanbase is made up of a lot of these type of part time fans as well as many die hards I should add. But any Evertonian ive met seems to be proper wherever they are from, it's not the sort of team that these part timers support. I'm sure if Liverpool got relegated then these part time fans would quickly switch allegiance.

Phil, wouldn't want to buy two ST, I would prevent die hard local fans from attending games
