I see John McMillan from the RST is getting his knickers in a twist about Dundee United again, this time because the A90 Arabs supporters group are planning on wearing Craig Whyte masks to the cup tie.
According to the Record it's provocative and could lead to trouble.
McMillan goes on to say “I was anticipating the United supporters doing something but I didn’t think they would stoop to this.
“It’s out of order and Dundee United as a club should do all they can to prevent their fans from carrying this threat through.
“The majority of Rangers fans will not be at the game and observe the boycott but unfortunately I’m certain some of them will go to Tannadice so this is a recipe for trouble.
“It’s inflammatory to wear these masks and it’s disgraceful to even be thinking about it.
“This game is already raised tensions and I fear any move to mock our support could have serious consequences."

FFS. How full of their own self importance are these people?
It's a bit of light hearted banter and a dig, albeit a slightly cheap one, at Rangers. Does it really require the "condemnation" and anger that this doughnut is coming out with?
Seriously, if you turn into a raging, violent maniac at the site of a mask then you need psychiatric help.
Anyway, these phannies are boycotting the game so it really won't affect them whatsoever.
I know you guys have been through a lot over the last 12 months, but please tell me you haven't completed lost your sense of humour.
I'd also like to point out that it's hardly a massive fans group - I think they bring a bus or two maximum ffs.

It was wrong for the club to bend over and be completely shafted by the lowest common denominator - i.e the likes of the RST et al.
What should have happened is Green saying "you don't want to go? don't go then".
What happens the next time these groups of self appointed "voice of the fans" want something and threaten a boycott, protest or some other equally idiotic measure? The club will have to agree again.
Pathetic by the so called supporters groups, and bad by Green for caving in to the knuckle draggers.

Mr Green will no doubt listen and then decide.
The fact you describe your fellow fans as 'the lowest common denominator' say more about your good self than it does about the.
These guys raise 10s of thousands for the Rangers charity foundation
These are for the most part the people who would have attended,
knuckle draggers is another lovely description of thousands of decent hard working folk whos crime is only a love for our club, says it all mate.
I trust you have your ticket and hope you enjoy the game.

Some info on the 'knuckle Draggers'
Now who do you think generates the funds?
Nope thought so,,,, you dont know.
Its the RST the supporters association and the others who were involved in asking for a boycott.
The Rangers Charity Foundation (Scottish Charity Number SC033287) exists to bring Club, supporters, staff and players together in a unique way to help make the world of difference to thousands of lives through a range of charitable work. Being a champion of charitable giving is our goal, and since our creation in 2002 we have donated over £1 million in cash awards and over £1,550,000 of in-kind support to hundreds of groups and individuals, making a combined total of over £2,500,000.
The Foundation continues to grow and we very much hope that our website will help raise awareness of our work and make it easier for our supporters to keep up to date with our plans and assist or donate.
For season 2011/12 the Foundation worked with Charity Partners UNICEF, The Prostate Cancer Charity and Erskine.
You see when people do as much as they do, they deserve a say.
What they dont need is people referring to them in the terms you have used. Even rival fans would show more respect than that.

Knuckledraggers? For supporting the team? I don't view the rst fondly but to call them knuckledraggers, that's a step too far.

I use that term advisedly when referring to the rst et al. Those who think that bans on certain songs is wrong. Those who think that picket lines and calling anyone who crossed them to go to the game "scabs". Those who saw no problem in advocating violence against those who go to this game.
As to the charitable donations, do you think these are funded from only members. Or maybe from fans as a whole? So spare us all that.
The fact is the rst for one have a chequered history to say the least. To scream for a boycott based on nonsense reasons was childish. For the club to cave wad embarrassing.

99% of the activities that raise cash, come through supporters groups.
