I hope the above article is correct and that JJ will sign a new deal with us. He's a talent and a valuable asset, it would have been a shame to see him leave on a free.
I hope that him signing is a sign he thinks the club will successfully rebuild and push on next season. If there was a bad atmosphere and you didn't feel things would move forwards you'd be unlikely not to walk away when you had the chance, but it looks like he's not doing that which to me would mean a sign of the early green shoots of recovery.
But then I'm an optimist and I really, really want things to get better. What do you think?
JJ here to stay?

Oh and Captain B, I take your point both about wages and JJ. As far as wage bill is concerned I don't think it's just about the amount of cash you have now, it's about the amount of wages your revenue/income can support. Only if you think that way can you be successful with a club long term which is what we all want.
Wrt JJ I think he has the raw pace and ability to beat players which is hard to teach. His end product and decision making could be improved but that is much easier to teach. Also I guess there is temperament and workrate, which is harder to instill but get him in a positive team and get his decision making sorted out and you have a really dangerous player.

I know, it's because I think I'm the only Blade at the minute.
I've even posted on the Leeds board!! *Shivers*
Yeah, went last night (with 2 owls as well actually). It was a really good game, end to end with attacking football. I'd guess 3/4 of those players will be first team regulars next season. (Providing they aren't sold)

Well done to the Blades last night(Spit Spit) however capt..... Try not to get carried away, as we were in the final back in 1991 and those players did jack all, in football after.

You were a more successful team in 91 though so a youngster would have seemed surplus more readily than in our useless team.

i think his game towards the end of the season had improved quite a bit, he was much better with his distribution and decision making, although its fair to say his next 2 shots will probably result in a stunning goal and a hospital visit for someone in row z....

We'll forgive 2 in row z for one in the top corner I'm sure. Shoot 9 times a game, score a hat-trick and you're a hero even if the other 6 go out for throw-ins.
