Half time update
Bright start by the Cherries using good pace and skill to get in behind the Crewe defence and earning an early penalty. Converted well to make it 1-0.
Minutes later another penalty could have been awarded but the referee waved away the claims.
Pretty dreary affair after that. The only bright spark in the match being Crewe's right winger Moore fully of trickery and twists but no final ball for Crewe to get a goal despite a few weak long range shots.

Much better second half that if it wasn't for the Crewe keeper would have been 6 or 7.
In the end 3-1 was a fair reflection of the game.
A crowd of over 8.5k almost filling the stadium was good to see but no atmosphere at all.
