Szczesney (5) - Amazing save at 0-0 but embarrassing for the 1st equaliser. Was ok otherwise.
Kos (6) - Was solidish.
Per (5) - Not a good performance from the stand in captain. Caught out early in the match, at fault for the 2nd goal. Not showing his early season form atm.
Jenko (7) - Did his 1st team chances no harm today. Made some powerful runs and great last ditch defending.
Diaby (5) - Horrendous first half, picked it up in the 2nd, great assist for the 2nd goal.
Ramsey (5) - Gave the ball away quite a lot and made quite a few fouls. Struggled in the holding role, Brighton pressed him a lot.
Rosicky (5) - Made some of those trademark bursts forward but didn't look himself. Sloppy in possession, needs more matches to get match fit.
Ox (4) - Oh dear. Might aswell not have been on the pitch. What is wrong with him? Very quiet and his corners/crossing were dreadful.
Podolski (6) - Drifted in and out of the game. Good work for first goal, unlucky not to score a few crackers.
Giroud (9) - Best game I have seen from him from a mile. Both goals were beauties but the 2nd goal, the touch, control, movement and finish was almost RVP-esque. Looked very confident and dangerous today, need more of the same in the PL.
Subs
Jack (7) - Huge improvement on Rosicky. Some great passes and dribbles.
Walcott (7) - Good goal even if it was deflected, changed the game with Jack. Should have gave Giroud a hat trick though.
Gibbs (10) - Not really a 10 but the difference in class between him and that fat oaf is astronomical.
Wenger (6) - Good team selection and made subs at the right time for once. But why did we play the match without a left back? Baffling.

Will Wenger say we don't need to buy or will he say we do?

Ox wasn't awful. He at least made the effort and rarely gave the ball away.
I suppose anyone who does that much deserves higher than a 4 when compared to Santos

Its only me that shiver at the end. Thanks Mr. Wenger. The right excuse for not signing anyone. We eased through the next round.

We put Brighton to the sword and won by a 5 goal margin. Of course we don't need to buy.

When asked about possible signings, Wenger also said that "if we find the right players we will... blah, blah, blah..."

If Gibbs gets injured we're seriously fecked. A lb has to be a priority now.

I thought Diaby and Rosicky didnt do enough defensively which meant Ramsey was left to do too much by himself, and with that viewpoint deserves more than the op's 5. Id say 7.
